As the Les Miles era closes I can't get this quote out of my mind. I think it sums up my feelings for the man well.

Oh and just to remind you were talking about a football coach in a multi million dollar business called college football, who's is making just a little short of 5 million dollars a year, not a damn gladiator

I doubt you knew that.

It certainly applies to him, as a republican who stood against Big Business and monopolies, as a "trust buster."

When his "critics" are paying him four million dollars a year to win football games and keep a top program on top and he doesn't do it--then his critics count significantly.

Sorry. That's just the way the ball bounces. Another shallow and idiotic misapplication by the Miles brigade. Another stupid attempt at bashing LSU fans who want the best for their program--including the TAF bigwigs who pay the bills.

He's a football coach who was paid handsomely and wasn't getting the job done. He'll be paid a cool 15 million for walking away and believe me, he doesn't give a shite about you or Teddy Roosevelt quotes.

So, help me out here guys. The writing on the wall is that Les is gone. You Les haters have essentially won. Why the hell are you so pissed about my sentimentality. I think change may be good but I really appreciate Les Miles. In a month we'll have a new coach and move forward. Right now I'm on a deer Stand not seeing crap and thinking about a fun 11 years of LSU football. Why does that piss you off?

Its always easy to point out in these type of threads those who have not succeeded in their own careers. Just look for the ones that bring Les' s Salary or buyout figures. They feel as if he owes them something just because he has earned himself big pay checks.
