Beating Saban twice would put nails in the coffin of Nick's life at LSU

Never said anything about "satisfying" the OP is pissing purple and gold, but not being very accurate.

Hey Jackhole... the exact quote from my OP:
"he made a comment to the effect of how much more satisfying it was to beat the same team twice."

and also, nothing was on the board or search when I looked before posting, so as for the pissing purple and gold, I guess you know the taste from STTD, so you would know...

It really doesn't get much clearer than that. I just wanted to hook you up with a thread that you may have missed. Be cool Tiger

Just fricking with you and trying to toughen you up at the same time.

Thanks for the reply. We need more of that.

Saban has looked unwell lately. Dark circles under his eyes and his complexion is kind of yellowish. Anybody else notice this?

no doubt, I was talking to my Dad about this. Miles and the LSU players were all smiles and appeared completely relaxed. Saban and his were wound up like a strung out junky.

that wasn't pallor affecting Saban. It was his drooling over the three placekickers in the row behind him.

he looks bad every football season late in the year. it seems to get worse every year. his schedule must be tortuing his body. i noticed this a few years ago as he hit his late 50's. i wouldn't be at all surprised if his health (physical or mental or both) gives out in the near future. hi def tv really brings this out.

Bobby Bowden said maybe last week, rematches do not work. He said when Fl. State was no. 1 and had beaten Fl. gators during the regular season they had no incentive for the playoff. They lost to Fl. 51-21.
LSU and Billy Cannon beat Ole Miss during the regular season but lost to Ole Miss 21-7 in the Sugar Bowl.
Only Les Miles can pull off win in BCS Championship rematch against ala.

Saw my first post on a Bama board saying Les seems's to have Nick's number. Gumps are finally getting a clue.

Yep - remember that one well.

It was the year the AFL started and Cannon signed his contract under the goalposts after the game. There may have been some distraction over that.

I would have no fear of Alabama whatsoever had we not already played them. Awfully hard to beat a good team twice - I actually takes a genuinely GREAT team to beat someone twice.

But I think CLM is the one to do it. I was fairly confident before the last one, and feel the same way now.

The only team that can actually beat LSU is LSU.

Don't remind me - my memory is so bad I sometimes forget.

I was at LSU '56-60.

My granddaughter was there '05-'09.

The Golden Girls were initiated when I was there - '59 I think. She was a Golden Girl all the time she was there.

I saw our first Nat Champ year - she saw the 2nd.

What a ride !!!!!!

legend has it that the o-line was tired of Cannon's growing ego and basically said "here you go, let's see how great you are without blocking"
