With JJ there is virtually no threat of a serious passing attack. In fact,it was easy to game plan for the one dimensional JJ offense
And yet, even today, he was bemoaning the loss of his beloved one, and saying that losing his versatility was going to limit our offense.

There are many fans that know more about football than given credit for. You don't have to be a coach to see some of the mistakes.

Not a v8 but caster oil to get that blockage out that is affecting his thought process.

I am beginning to believe that LM is either a schmuck or just plain stupid.

After today, I'm officially over Jan 9th. He might have not said exactly what everybody wants to hear, but he manned up and help a press conference to address the past couple weeks and looking forward to the future. The press didn't exactly beat around the bush either.
The Jordan Jefferson saga is over with, and I think Miles knows he and the coaching staff made some mistakes that they feel confident they will correct. He thinks we're going to have a great run next year, so I guess that's good enough for me. You gotta let go sometime..

I Do not think he manned up- He was including everyone in the loss- for the 4 mil he gets a year
Manning up means stepping up to the podium before a single question is asked and simply stating:
As the head coach the buck stops at my desk. I mis planned and mismanaged the game. It was my responsibility as the head coach to put us in a position to win and that I did not do. From game planning, to play calling to the best use of players- I accept the responsibility and commit to the players, coaches and fans that I will work my arse off to not let this happen again.
That my friend is manning up

This cat just needs to say that Saban's defense scared the ever living shite out of him and that's why we didn't do anything offensively

This, I don't feel like going through 37 pages to figure this out

That my friend is stupidity. You don't call a press conference and basically admit that you are incompetent.

There is nothing to substantiate JJ's mobility gave us a better chance to win. With JJ there is virtually no threat of a serious passing attack. In fact,it was easy to game plan for the one dimensional JJ offense. No, Miles exercised questionable judgement and mishandled JJ's return and playing time.
As much as JL was 'out of it' in the first game, JJ was completely lost & frustrated in the second game. How Miles could keep JJ in the game after the 'shuttle pass' was insane. Did Miles not understand that Saban knew his game plan from the start?? It was quite obvious, Bama knew JJ all to well. The running game was not working, all the more reason JL would have been the better choice due to his quicker throws- JJ's motion is too slow, which again, Bama famously exposed. I just don't get it...everyone else could see this except for Miles. By the 4th Quarter, our defense was weakening, and we needed a change, but it was not to come. Again, just like the Ole Miss game, Miles' judgement has seriously been called into question, and we have become a laughing stock around the country. You don't think recruits hear the nationwide jokes? Folks will say Gunner is a typical 18 year old, but I still think he was turned off by the gameplan, our performance, handling of Lee,etc. Everone needs to take off the purple & gold glasses- Miles needs to do some serious damage control, because the nation quickly forgot about the 13-0 start & only see us being manhandled by Bama...

In fairness, Jefferson's mobility put us in a position to win,
I agree. Without that mobility we would not have had that whopping 96 yds of total offense.

I find it kinda ironic it was after JL's performance in the all-star game that Miles called his presser.
Posted on 1/17/12 at 9:39 pm to LSUfanaddict
Anybody mind giving me cliff notes on the presser? No way Im going through 37 pages.

Jordan Jefferson throwing motion is like a right handed Tebow

After reading some of the comments in this thread it's too bad stupidity isn't painful.

It's called not throwing players and coaches under the bus and accepting responsibility for being the Head coach.
And his coaching for that one game was very near incompetence. for 4 mil a year you expect a better effort from the HC
I do not want Les Miles fired I want him to accept responsibility and be accountable for the worst coached game he has ever coached while at LSU

If he's so awful, take your arse to another team that didn't go 13-1 this year.
You won't be missed.
