what could he have misrepresented? an investigation took place * nothing rose to the level of "criminal". Later on Alleva gave him a contract extension & paid the buyout. If Kansas wants to fire him for something that happened 8 years ago at a previous employer then they will have to buy him out.

Are you joking? If they asked him about these investigations and he lied about the findings and extent, he misrepresented himself and therefore placed the university unknowingly at risk.

The investigation happening 8 years ago is irrelevant.
