you pay a coach 4 million dollars a year to be loved, right?

You pay him 4M to maintain the program at the level that it currently is.

It's fricking unheard of for an incoming coach to inherit a program like this one after a coach being fired.

Orgeron literally has zero rebuilding to do. Compare that to Texas, Oregon, etc.

Currently, the program is nowhere near where it should be. With our advantages, it's an absolute travesty that it's been six years since we finished in the top ten or played in a top-tier bowl.

really? If I'm paying a coach $4M, I'm expecting to be in the mix for championships, most years.

And Miles was 10-10 against the SEC West the last 3+ years, so O does have some building to do, and he already did a lot of that by firing Cam when he took over as interim and hiring Canada.

Your definition of "program" is very different than mine. I won't play the semantics game with you, but you aren't have the same discussion I am.

I use the term "Program" as the foundation of success. The brand, existing talent within the system, etc. is easily top 7. LSU is immediately in position to have success. Lesser programs are not. They sometimes need years of building to get to the point where we are.

See my above response. You are talking about results. I'm talking about foundation.

Same as yesterday, when he blamed Brandon Harris and Danny Etling for him losing his job, like ghe had nothing to do with the decision to start Harris or develop either. They just didn't perform well enough and none of it was his fault.

I somewhat agree with you on the brand, but the talent within the system, while great in some areas, is very lacking in others. We have a shortage of talent (being partially corrected in this class) in some of the most important areas of the team: DL, LB, QB and OL. Outside of running backs and defensive backs, and maybe not even there, there isn't really any aspect of our team that an objective observer would look at and say that we are national championship caliber.

It's hip to diss Miles, Daddy.

Another reason why the fanbase gets made fun of...it's better to look stupid than to be 'out of step'

special by CaptainPanicHe's always been a people pleaser. That's the only reason he was allowed to coach so poorly for so long.

so he was a people pleaser yet he didn't do what the people wanted by opening up the offense. cant have it both ways.

Yeah, "the people" call the shots in BR.....

Despite all the embarrassments while coaching, he still managed to bring in good recruits and develop a group of Miles pumpers. The people who loved him the most aren't exactly the sharpest people in the world. For example, HS athletes, their money hungry parents, and mouth-breathing fans like RickDaddy.

And the people that hated him are lucky that breathing is involuntary.

Im sorry FACTS about miles tenure prove your opinions to be ignorant.

Its not my opinion that miles had the most successful tenure in lsu history.
It's not my opinion that miles had one of the most successful tenures in sec history.

You should be upset that facts make your opinion seem stupid.

If i said the earth revolves around the sun, im not defending the sun.

relative to other programs, you are absolutely incorrect.

If you ranked existing talent on campus, LSU would be very high on the list.

LSU was ranked in the top 5 to start the year last year (Miles' last year)

You are out of your mind.

Fans like you are reason LSU has been declining the past 5 years

Let me know when a program is dumb enough to let him HC again

"Problem was the X 's and o 's"

Miles lead all SEC teams in over all wins in his years here. LSU was the only SEC team to average 10 wins a yr for his 11 yrs. If that shows a problem with X and O's, I can only hope Coach O shows the same,
