The Miles haters/Saban lovers always seem to forget that in 5 seasons, Saban only won more than 8 games twice.

Les Miles is the Les Miles of the SEC - DWI.

We aren't Bama you can't compare the two.
Miles has done better at LSU than Saban.

A legitimate 5-3 record and 1 game that should have never happened hardly qualifies as falling on your face.

Hopefully they share this:
Bowden was forced out before he wanted to leave

Until Les Miles wins a national championship with his own players I agree with this statement.
Heck, Larry Coker won a national championship at Miami with the previous coach's talent rich team.

I would gladly take a Les Mile's 1-7 record vs Bama if it meant winning the most important game ever in the LSU vs Bama history.
And you know that is a fact for everyone.

I know Chief has full control of the D)coaching them up and doing all the game planning and play calling during the games.
Yet miles gets blamed when the d falters. He is the head coach, he has his hand in everything.

07 would never have happened, and we would never have played them in the bcs title game in 11 because we would have lost to them in the regular season. you are a fricking moron.

Miles is about the only coach who can compete with Saban.. and he does know x's and o's.. so screw off

He's the only collegiate coach to beat Saban more than once.
And it makes me laugh how some posters say '07 was a fluke. If anything, '11 was a fluke. We beat them but we had to play them again. I don't care how good they were. Why does the regular season exist then? A team from the East, I could see but not a team that didn't win it's division of the conference, let alone the conference.
Ok, I'm off the soapbox. All I'm going to say.
Carry on.

My granddaddy, who retired at the age of 50, once told me you don't need to know it all; you can always hire people smarter than you: doctors, lawyers, Indian chiefs, and even football coaches who know the ins and outs of all the Xs and Os--now that I think about it.
Miles has finally found the last piece to the puzzle with the hiring of Cam Cameron. With all of Cameron’s pro-set formation packages, not even tricky Nicky will know where the ball is going, much less his players.

Yep, later dismantled by Miles, then later fired.

Most important game? Since the Archer/Hallman debacle LSU has two NC's. Most important game... a case could be made for 95 LSU/AU game in the aforementioned period.

No, just the myopic. Been pretty good since 95 for football except the 99 season of course.
