Lets see if this is the start of a beautiful run with Les Miles signing the athletes OC Cam Cameron & DC John Chavis (I know Chief has full control of the D)coaching them up and doing all the game planning and play calling during the games.

Well, that's sensible. There seems to be an impression that top notch coordinators grow on trees...they don't. I'm confident Coach Miles has two of them so we'll see.

I'd say spurrier is the Bowden of the sec. Miles is more of a people's person and a respected players' coach

That was the OP's quote, but yes, Miles seems to be the only one that can hang with Saban/UA...no one else in the conference can, Urban took off, the rest of the country is just watching the parade go by.

Hate it when people say things like this. You don't know who has control of what. OC and DC be damned, Miles is still the head coach.

Is that supposed to be a bad thing? Do you children even know what Bowden accomplished?

Bobby needed kickers and he would have 2 or 3 more titles. Nebraska and Tom Osborne was also a thorn in his side.

FSU under Bowden was 6-2 vs. Neb. Did you even watch football in the 80's and early 90's? Do you remember how bad Nebraska looked in bowl games? Except, of course, for the arse rapings they gave LSU?

I love how people say CLM doesn't know the Xs and Os of football. Are you kidding me?

15 straight years finish in top 5 I think. Probably an unbreakable record.

It's really easy to figure out, according to the rant. Win and it was the coordinators doing their job. Lose and Miles called every play, on both sides of the ball.

Exactly. Head coach = scapegoat. But that's just part of the job of being the face of a team.
