I don't think Miles is an outstanding coach, that is my opinion and it likely will not change.
The best evidence yet of your stupidity. If 37-6, championships, six straight wins over top 10 teams (with only two of the six at home) don't convince you, nothing will.
Stupidity is revealed when one sees the clear evidence that his opinion is wrong, yet refuses to change it, choosing instead to ignore the evidence or chalk it up to statistical variance.

Hey Lucky Les....and Saban doesn't look goofy on the sideline with his hands under his armpits. I have a friend who is not a big football fan but watches LSU games with me and the first thing he said when he saw Saban....he is so Gay with they way he walks around and holds his hands under his armpits...LOL

LuckyLes, your entire premise about Les has always been wrong, and remains wrong. Les knows exactly what his individual players are capable of and he REWARDS them by placing trust in them at big moments. This inspires loyalty, and a sense of the INEVITABILITY of winning.
Les is really a brilliant guy, in his understanding of human nature. LSU players will run through a brick wall for him.
TINY CARPETBAGGER is brilliant in his way too. I will look forward to seeing how these two diametrically opposed approaches to motivation and game day decisions play out over time. Les plays to win, Tiny Dancer plays not to lose. You will see, he will make the "right " decision and you will inexplicably and inevitably have late game meltdowns. Meanwhile Les will continue to play to win, and the LEGEND will grow....

why do people ALWAYS try to nitpick and put Miles coaching decisions under a microscope compared to every coach in the NCAA
Mabye because Miles is the head coach for the team this board is dedicated to?

How can you argue with the results? Besides, Lee was really on a hotstreak and threw a perfect pass to where only his receiver had a shot at it. Seemed very reasonable to me, put it where only you're guy has a chance, so if you miss you still have chances to win other ways.

The Saints played for the field goal today instead of going for the jugular and look where it got them.

43 yarder in the NFL is a layup. frick Gramatica.

And prefer it that way. The more you all think he is a dope and the more we win, I know that drives you all crazy as evidence by this thread. Just keep underestimating him!!!
All in all it's ridiculous because Crowton is the one that calls the plays.

And yet he missed it. That is the risk you take when you don't play the full 60 minutes. The Saints were moving the ball in the air and as soon as they get in field goal range, they start running it. Great coaching by your logic. What was that you sai again about being a retard?

They wanted the TD friendly bamma poster. Au then needs a TD and not just a FG and I dunno, but you play football all the way to the end not give up and just settle for a FG. Lee had proven he could move the ball and was growing every snap. He did some good things and was hot so why take the ball out of his hands. Your a idiot go way

The 3rd down run it up the gut play was retarded. We don't have the personnel for that. In the NFL, you expect your kicker to make a 43 yd FG all day especially in good weather. That's inexcusable for Gramatica.

No, but seriously you are

Of course you expect him to make it but it's not a guarantee. That's the point you apparently cannot grasp that Les Miles has. You try to score the touchdown every time and only attempt the field goal when you have no other choice.
