What does that mean? What does it look like? How do you define it?

It does not surprise me that you need a definition...it has been so long since we have witnessed such play from an LSU team. Other than that, find a dictionary and try to get a grip on the English language before questioning me about what I wrote.

You have just listed 2 Heisman Trophy winners and 1st Round NFL draft picks(one of which was #1 overall) and the #1 overall recruit 3 years ago who is the Heisman front-runner this year. It takes very special players to lead teams to that kind of success so early. Clearly, neither JJ or JLee are that caliber.

kellen moore at boise state
pat white won the sugar bowl as a true frosh
todd reesing as a soph in 2007
juice williams as a soph in 2007

none of these guys are superstars or will do anything in the nfl...they seemed to have a lot of success as young QB's...lee and jefferson might just both suck and maybe it has nothing to do with coaching, but saying theyre only 2nd year starters is weak

I don't, I'm just pointing out that your criteria is completely subjective and open to your own interpretation, which will likely be manipulated to fit your preconcieved bias. You have hedged your bets and put yourself in a position to move the goalposts and never be proven wrong. And I think that's bitch.

And let me just say that I have not been happy with our last 2 seasons, am aware our offense sucked, think Crowton should have been fired, and think with a 7-5/6-6 season, Les should be swiftly shown the door. But I'm not so stupid as to think that last season was "bad" and without any positives whatsoever or that it is utterly impossible that we right the ship and have a great 2010 season. But more importantly, I'm smart enough to know you don't go firing coaches 2 years removed from SEC and National Championships after 9-4 seasons.

Agreed

Precisely.

While we were weak offensively, we showed a little bit of improvement in defense(at least in scoring defense) and were always competitive even in our losses.

This season will be very interesting because nobody really knows what to expect on either side of the ball. At least I don't.

The bad QB situation LSU has is squarely on Les. This mistake is on him. He has also let the OL deteriorate way below LSU's (and my) expectations. The DL doesn't impress me either. It took a year (too long) to fix the '08 defense. Les's ship just seems to be sailing without a rudder the last couple years. Crowton hanging around doesn't instil much confidence for 2010. Hope I'm wrong.

You think that shite is a coincidence?

See, that's your mistake. Some of these wantabee coaches and front running fans don't THINK at all. They just want LSU to be their claim to fame because their own lives suck.

They expected the same from JJ last yr that matt gave them.

That's why criticism of Les Miles has not increased during the last two years over what it was through the 2007 season.

People who hated him all along were quiet when we were winning big. Now, folk like you are more vocal.

bullshite. Hell, two or three people have sig quotes from my posts singing the praises of Miles. I never had, and still don't have, anything personal against the guy. I had no reason and no inclination to want him to fail. I wanted him to be great. Results of the past two years have shown me that he isn't.

Nuts, you established yourself along time ago to be so extreme that no one should take anything you say seriously.

Not unless they want to know the truth.

Even your brother King Joey basically thinks you're crazy.

Of course he does, but not because of anything I post on the board.

Bottom line, Rocket, is that you are beyond stupid if you think the results of the last two years have nothing to do with rising opposition to Les Miles. But then, your penchant for dime store psychoanalysis of people you don't even know already establishes you as beyond stupid, so this is no surprise.

Damn, you are a funny little fellow aren't you. All of this shite is subjective no matter what you claim as your data set.

You are right about one thing...I will make a decision for myself regarding how the LSU football program is progressing as things unfold. I don't give a flying frick what a dick stain like you thinks I need to prove one way or another.

The hatred in your bashing and the unfairness in your criticism suggest otherwise.

Sorry, you can't be as extreme as you are and be taken seriously.

quote:

I already said a very small minority may have a problem with the results. You're not in that minority. There is a strong faction of people who hate Miles personally, primarily because he's not Nick Saban, and has/have never liked him and they've come become more vocal the past 2 years because while they hated his guts during the 1st three years, they were still unfairly critical and hateful of the guy during that time period and even more vocal now.

quote:

then, your penchant for dime store psychoanalysis of people you don't even know already establishes you as beyond stupid, so this is no surprise.

I've been around here long enough to have a good idea of which posters were never a fan of Miles during his 1st three years and they've have been the most hateful bashers of him the past 2 years.

I can see how someone like you would get defensive when someone discredits his criticisms. I'm sorry, if Nick Saban was the coach the past 2 years and posted the same results as Miles did these past 2 years, I do not believe the people spewing hate towards Miles would like we've seen on this board would be saying the same things about him.

Les Miles is an arrogant, self centered individual, who has over time proved his heart & soul NOT to his family. Bottom line if you don't respect and treat your family right how can you expect him to do that with your team, a player, or your kid???

I was not aware of all of this stuff...I just thought he was an idiot. I guess you just never know about people.
