Interesting stats that shadow how our offense has been operated the last few seasons...

Les Miles was OC at OK State 1995-97

Avereages per 12 game season

1995 (4-8)

Passing: 10-21 111 yards
Rushing: 43 attempts 199 yards

1996 (5-6)

Passing: 13-25 167 yards
Rushing: 48 attempts 223 yards

1997 (8-4)

Passing: 9-16 137 yards
Rushing: 49 attempts 207 yards

This isn't meant to blame anything on anyone, just an interesting comparison to an offense that Miles had control of. Take it for what its worth

There you go. He's using his same philosophy from 20 years ago. He dreams about Woody and Bo.

I don't believe you. Like a lot of us I think you respect miles but are fed up with the Offense

Wasn't Gundy the OC when Les became coach? How was that dynamic?

All of these numbers suck quite frankly.

So you assume Miles has control of the offense as an OC at OSU but assume Miles ALSO has control of the offense as HC at LSU?

This is a pointless and meaningless comparison.

Good data. Those numbers look very familiar.

I don't understand why OSU wanted him back when he left after 1997. I'm guessing he wasn't fired?

It makes more sense than you think. The HC does have influence on the offensive gameplan. Head coaches hire coordinators that also share their vision.

Agreed. The post are you responding to is a common deflection when this comes up.

A former OC who fancies himself as capable of shaping the offensive style and having input on playcalling?! Ya don't say.

winning makes most fanbases happy. Look at the won loss record.

Some feel that it matters.
