Did notre dame score in the game or were they shutout?

The only reason they scored was because bama put in backups. Again it was 35-0 before notre dame scored.

quote:

Did notre dame have more or less than 100 yards of total offense?

Notre dame was losing 28-0 at the half. Lsu was losing 9-0.
Also lsu was playing one of the best defense ever. Notre dame was playing a bama defense that gave up 450 yards to a&m.
Only an idiot would think 21-0 is worse than 42-14. Which was actually 35-0 at one point.Notre dame scored because backups were in the game because Bama was blowing them out. Bama never put in backups against LSU because until the 4th quarter the game was in reach.

Nooooooo, that's what you like to refer to as biased opinion. This is a fact thread. Lets try this agin.

Was notre dame shutout?

quote:

Notre dame was losing 28-0 at the half. Lsu was losing 9-0.

Well that doesn't look like any kind of answer to their total yardage. Let's try that one again too.

Did notre dame have more or less than 100 total yards?

quote:

Also lsu was playing one of the best defense ever. Notre dame was playing a bama defense that gave up 450 yards to a&m.

Well that first sentence is most certainly an opinion, not a fact.

And funny, you forgot to mention that A&M team was led by the heisman trophy winner that year.

Also, none of that looks like an answer to the 50 yard line question either. We'll try that one again too.

Did notre dame cross the 50 yard line on offense before 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter? And did the bama fans stand up and cheer for them when they did it?

quote:

Only an idiot would think 21-0 is worse than 42-14. Which was actually 35-0 at one point.Notre dame scored because backups were in the game because Bama was blowing them out. Bama never put in backups against LSU because until the 4th quarter the game was in reach.

More biased opinions.

I'm still waiting for that math lesson though.

14*3=42

0*???=21

I am going to use you're style of argument

WHO LOST BY MORE POINTS!

DID NOTRE DAME LOSE BY LESS THAN 21?

WHO LOST BY MORE POINTS?

Did LSU give up 28 points int he first half?

Do you think we should have let them go up 35-0 so they would put in their second string so we could score a TD?

Well I spent time typing out a nice long, fact based reply that the admins deleted. Instead of redoing all that work, here's a quick summary.

Alabama scored 3 times as many points as notre dame. There is no mathematical explanation for how badly Alabama beat Lsu.

Your problem is you're pointing out things that are not unprecedented. Les miles is unrivaled is his amount of failure in that game.

Lastly and most importantly, all this nonsense about pulling starters is just more biased opinions. This here is a facts thread only.

List of coaches who have beaten Alabama under Nick Saban more than once:

Les Miles

Look, I am concerned about the offense this year, and especially against Arkansas. We will have to get better QB play for the Tigers to win any championship the next two years.

However, what Nick Saban is doing at Alabama is unprecedented. Only one other coach can claim three national titles in four years, Tom Osborne. If they win a national championship this year, he will win his fourth there 8 years faster than Bear Bryant!

Sure, it ticks me off that our former coach is doing that. But I can't do anything about it. Guess what--no other coaches are doing anything about it either.

I wasnt happy either. I dont know why they wouldnt make a change @ qb. But Miles has given us the besy era of lsu football ever and he has earned the right to fix things.

It's unfair to the players at this point.

Jennings is getting death threats because of something his coach is subjecting him to. It's really silly.

Miles' stubbornness may get the best of him here before it's all said and done.

How many teams in the country could beat Alabama a second time after Saban had a month to rest and prepare?

The Mulligan game was BS for LSU...

Only in a rantards mind is 21-0 worse than 35-0.the only reason notre dame scored was because bama was up 35-0 and pullled starters. The lsu/ Bama game was still in doubt going into the 4th quarter. The bama/ notre dame game was over after the first quarter. Bama was winning 21-0 in the first quarter. The bama /notre dame game was never even competitive.

Upvoted the OP. Les has the FACTS on his side.

However, some of the DETAILS make me more than a little nervous.
Not to mention some of the TRENDS.

no one is going to forget 2011. it's stupid to use this as a measuring stick. This season contains the game that is systematically destroying our program

So that's it then, you're officially throwing in the towel? No math lesson? No responses to any of my posts? Just more bs about pulling starters?

What math lesson? Notre dame was down 35-0 before they scored a point. The notre dame / bama game was over in the 1st quarter (21-0). The lsu/ bama game was still in doubt going into the 4th quarter.

ETA: you think losing 45-7(hypothetical) is better than losing 21-0 because the other team scored 7 points?

You offered to teach me a math lesson. Here, I'll ask again. For the 3rd time.

42 is the 3rd multiple of 14. What multiple of 0 is 21?

Both teams got the shite kicked out of them. Not sure what you are trying to prove or what anything says other than both teams getting their arse kicked. But if it makes you feel better and helps you sleep at night to shite on lsu and say they lost "worse" then go right ahead, "fan"

It's not really backing in when everyone but one team has 2 losses.

Saban backed into 2 Natty games at Bama.

The math lesson is Notre dame lost by more points than lsu did. The reasoning youre using is saying getting beat 15-0 is worse than getting beat 45-3 because the team that got beat 45-3 was only outscored by 12 times as many points while the team that lost 15-0 was outscored by 0 times. Thats fricking ignorant.
