Les doesn't just want to win...

I have a theory about Les Miles. I don't think he just wants to win. I think he wants to steal souls. If you've watched opposing coaches at their post game press conferences after playing LSU, it's clear that they are only shells of their pre-game selves.
Urban Meyer looked sullen and lifeless, and when asked directly about Miles, he deflected, as if to avoid his soul reaper. Derek Dooley's soul was harvested as he was chased down by Miles moments after LSU was given a second chance at a game winning touchdown. Miles seemed to take great pleasure in hunting down the UT coach and swallowing his soul with a definitive handshake. Dooley had shark eyes at his post game presser. Bill Stewart appeared soulless, as did Dan Mullen and Butch Davis after Miles was finished with them.
You see, winning easy would only have caused these coaches to examine the merits of their inferior squads, but losing in the fashion that most of them have lost to LSU didn't just cost them a game, but left them empty, questioning, and vacant.
With each week Miles seems to be getting stronger. The flash in his eyes, the utterly confusing and cryptic nature of his commentary, and the inflection of his voice all appear to be growing more and more intense. It's as if each soul he reaps only makes him more powerful and mystifying.
Reap on, Coach Miles... reap on!

It was fun to watch MIles have to stalk both Meyer and Dooley for handshakes.

Maybe this is the deal he has with the Devil? its not his soul the Devil owns, its the souls of his opponents?

Hmmm...I could maybe believe that.

Ole Miss was a hail mary pass that was short. They had no plan for it being short, because there was just a few seconds left. The error was not saving time before hand, and bad play calls that were't designed to get first downs, or out of bounds. The QB in that game had alot of problems. Rewatch it!

That explains a lot. If Miles is indeed the devil's soul stealer, naturally a Hail Mary pass would fall short.
That might explain why the "Aww the hell with it, run the fake" worked.

Someone needs to fark Les as the Grim Reaper, with a black robe and a scythe.

So you're saying Miles IS the devil??
No, that would be preposterous. Les Miles is clearly an agent of the Devil, though his duties are largely ceremonial.

It would explain why he has the high hat. There might be horns under there.

Awesome post. I think you are right on the money.
BUT, Les is not the devil, he is an angel of God working on the side of everything good.
Remember, the Lord works in mysterious ways.
These coaches are all trying to defeat the LSU Tigers.
And, as everybody knows, God is a Tiger fan.

Thanks for the lighthearted look. It is sometimes difficult to keep a sense of humor in here.

Meyer had to be chased down, too? I didn't notice that.
Not surprised, though.
