Did you watch the game? You mention 2 turnovers to help your cause. The interception wasn't a bad pass, and I think Dupre could have come up with it. The other turnover was on Guice. There were some perfectly thrown passes that were dropped, and a rushing TD by Etling, that you fail to mention. Stat's be damned, Etling gave me hope. I don't know If that hope is justified, but we'll find out going forward.

its all mental with him....he is having a mental breakdown...this is why he plays poorly in the games because he has to think....they say he is the best practice qb we have ...on another note...he has had his chance...he needs to grow a pair and grow up and either compete to gain his job back or just step aside

Totally agree. Man up and take your job back if you want it so badly. You were playing bad, what did you expect? Was the team supposed to go down in flames until you get your act together? Get a grip and show you are the quality QB you think you are. We have only seen glimpses. Take a chill pill and relax.

Now on the other hand, our pitiful fan base will make him out to be world's worst villain. They now have their All American QB. And Etling's pedestrian performance has now reached epic proportions.

Everybody needs to slow down and let this play out. Etling is in the driver's seat, let's see how he drives. As they say, the cream will rise to the top. Chances are we might need Harris again sometime this year. To those who want to castigate him and throw him out with the garbage, slit your throat and go to hell.

Grandad.

What do think happened with Jordan Jefferson, Jarrett Lee, Anthony Jennings and now Brandon Harris? Is the evidence of below-par QB play not enough for you? Have you not seen the play calling which never actually helps our QBs?

It's easy to blame a 19/20 year old, when they lash out. Wrong as it is, it's a human reaction to a very tough situation and he will be disciplined and will learn from it. Don't forget he's doing it for free and has worked his butt off. But let's not give a pass to the horrible coaching.

The man who makes $4m+ is answerable. If you want to talk 'facts' Mr Grandad, fact is LSU has lost 4 of last 5 regular season games. Fact is we're now a mediocre middle of the pack SEC team. Fact is we recruit at the highest level and we don't finish top 5/10 consistently enough based on recruiting. Fact is LSU QB play has been below par (look at the stats if you may, compare it to other colleges with top 5 recruiting classes, go ahead) and at this point only sub-par coaching by paid professionals is to blame.

How dem facts for you?

IMO, he shouldn't even dress for Miss St.

He's done. Mentally, emotionally, physically. Done.

This decision should have been made when he ran off the field at the end of the game.
He sure didn't mind it when AJ had to e arch him play.

Weird huh?

I don't know

But Etling is the first QB I've seen in a long while at LSU to act as if he gives a shite

Encouraging teammates, smiling even.

I see some leadership in him

Well, I see the Rant has now moved on from the most recent LSU QB who was destined to be the next sure-fire all american.

If you're keeping score at home:

Lee was the next all american after he came in and saved the day at Auburn in 08. By the end of the season he was the "worst QB in LSU history." But alas, Jefferson ascended to greatness in the '08 Peach Bowl. LSU had a new DC and a can't miss QB going into the 09 season. By the end of that season LSU fans concluded that the next great QB was not on LSU's roster. 2010 saw both guys play and get ridiculed. By 2011, Lee had risen all the way back to great QB status once again...well, until he stepped on the field at Tuscaloosa. Nevertheless, Lee would end his LSU career on a high note a the back up QB du jour who would have assuredly won LSU a national title has Les only given him a chance!!!

Mettenberger actually panned out for the most part. Then he gets hurt in his final game. No worries, LSU had a true freshman in Jennings who saved the day vs. Ark. and was going to pick up right where Mett left off. Jennings' king status lasted roughly 1 quarter. By the end of the Outback bowl he was relegated to the trash pile by the same fans who had put Lee and Jefferson there before him.

After 1 game in 2014, all eyes fell upon Harris to the be the savior of LSU football. The MSU game was a blip on the radar and Harris' ascension to the starting role at AU was second only to the ascension of Mary into heaven. Then....disaster. But wait! Harris got a reprieve when Jennings proved he was not the Messiah everyone thought he would be in 2013. Folks largely turned a blind eye in 2015 because LSU had no savior holding a clipboard. Well, maybe they did!

Now, Harris has been cast of the island. The same guy who was going to lead LSU to the championship once more as late as two weeks ago has now been put on the mountain of disgrace along with Jennings, Jefferson and Lee in the eyes of LSU fans.

All hail the next back up! The king of LSU football (How about for Etling's sake we temper the expectations just a bit)

Miles already screwed the pooch on the QB situation. He should have gone into week 2 knowing exactly what he was going to do with the QB rotation and letting the QBs know as well.
Harris also should have known pre-season that playing time would be based on results.
Now he has ruined another QB.
Miles has a special ability to make QBs unhappy on and off the field.

his tweet is really being taken out of context.. Mr. Johnson tweets Brandon that he let God help him in his most recent decision to depart from LSU. all Brandon did was say he was smart for doing so... who wouldn't agree to that? I don't see anything in between to the lines with that response to his friend's tweet etc.. Did Brandon tweet back I guess I should do the same, or I'll keep that in mind, etc. NO! Never once did he disrespect Les or the program..

Brandon's former teammate and backup QB while at Parkway is a true freshman QB at Okie St. Tyron is now a wide receiver of his. People are digging way too deep into this.

I swear this board is ridiculous.

To me, Harris proved he is immature and selfish. Rather than put the work in to earn his starting spot back, he decided to whine on social media. I no longer feel sorry for him.

You mean Les found ANOTHER QB with "no chest"?
He needs to let somebody else recruit QBs, because he can't seem to find one. Or maybe the raw material is there in these kids and he screws it up?
