but he was a BAD color commentator

I loved it yesterday when the other guy said "do you send the runner?"

Maddox said "no, you don't want to force Katz to swing"

so the other guy said "so, no hit and run"

Maddox said "I would support a little hit and run"

I appreciate his overflowing love and appreciation of LSU in the end but...did not enjoy him as a color analyst. Most repetitive commentary ever/cliche'. Btw his commentary, the mind numbing 2 commercials shown 1000s of times and continual Internet buffering issues, it was the least enjoyable Regional watching experience ever. That being said, proud of P&G and their performance!

If I was a USL fan I would have turned off the sound. he was pumping the purple and gold hardcore.

The first game today every other word out of his mouth was how much he loved ULL. Guy goes down swinging at three shitty pitches in a row and just loves the aggression.

They were a good pair. One guy called the game and the other guy found interesting things to talk about.

I thought Leland did awesome. He new to being a comintator, enjoyed his insights.

After I heard him say he was happy the umps missed Bregman's HR last night because he likes the "human element" of baseball, the guy lost all credibility with me.

It was like a 4 hour story-time with those 2 bozos every game. Very disappointed in ESPN3's announcers.

He was like a big semi-coherent TeddyBear. A Cliche machine who in the end, got swept up in Tigermania and rode the wave. I think I saw him Throwing Mardi Gras beads on his way out of the Box.

he also said purple and yellow last night..

not super bright, but his heart is in the right place

He said "blue and yellow", then said, "I mean purple, don't say blue."

But, whatever, not the best commentator but seems like a nice guy.

Consider yourself lucky...i am with Cox Cable so just imagine at every single commercial break being played the same 2 commercials all weekend. I swear if I ever hear the words Jeep Grand Cherokee and Subway in the next 5 yrs it will be too soon

Man was good. Hard to do games every week not knowing much about teams. You expect him to know everything in a week about LSU that you know about the program your entire life? He spoke from the heart and gave props.

I actually liked him, seemed that most of the fans felt otherwise though.

I didn't have a problem with him. Thought he did ok.

Not sure why a PbP or color guy bothers people so much, I'm just glad as hell to get the video on my computer.
