Yep, I had the Vanderbilt game on TV and LSU game on ESPN3. The actual game was good enough (LSU game) that I didn't notice how good or bad the announcers were. I'm generally just appreciative of the fact I get to watch it.

Both the PXP and color guy were atrocious.

Favorite moment was when the color guy thought purple and gold was ''blue and yellow''.

The best line of the night was when he randomly brought up "12 year old Zane Sullivan who throws 100 pitches every day"

Not to mention he often butchered words and phrases, like "sleek-footed."

Is there anything to what he was saying? Pitchers in latin america don't ice their arms, they run after pitching instead? The color guy (no racist) seemed to buy into it being a good idea.

I loved it when he was yaking about how "You ALWAYS bunt the runner in from 3rd with less than one out!" He had to say it about 3 times...this is with the bases loaded and force anywhere...WTF? Guy was a joke.....

I liked him. His gaffe's weren't that bad. Who cares if he said blue and yellow on accident. He was clearly inexperienced with color commentating, but he seemed to be very excited about the college game, which isn't always the case with former major leaguers. He tended to repeat himself with the same themes, but his insight was not bad. Overall, I liked the guy. He sure seemed impressed with LSU and it's baseball program. He ended his Sunday broadcast with a chant of "LSU LSU LSU".
