i agree that we have a much better shot with herman. if petrino wins the acc this year and goes to the playoff that takes him off the table. same with herman i would guess. need louisville to beat houston this year. loser gets to coach lsu, lol.

no on jim considering TOSU deserved major sanctions but being a big time program they avoided it.

Do your research
One good season at sorry San Jose St, and one year were he has won 3 of his first 4 games at Colorado is not a valid reason to want him. My research is 6 full seasons as HC, and only one was a winning season.
Stop smoking crack.

Prom, thanks for a legit list. I really pray we do not experiment with Kiffen... I think without Nick keeping him in line he's the same guy he's always been.

You have to call Dantonio, though. He might want to jump ship with an ascendent Michigan.
He's 60. I'll be astounded if they even try

Look i love all those guys you listed but they have other recruiters. I would prefer we keep O and Aranda over anyone else.

I'd love to see chip kelly say enough is enough after 4-12 (a la saban, dolphins)

and has had health problems. He does fit our mold that brought us saban and miles.
I think he has plateaued though considering his age and his success. He would probably keep us winning and we might win a conference title but i don't see him hitting 2 titles here.

I think if we're legitimately trying to woo Dantonio it's because we're desperate as hell

Hermsn and Fisher are not legitimate replacements.

I like Kelly but I think its more likely he goes to USC or Oregon fires MH and they get Kelly back. As far as i remember him leaving oregon wasn't messy

I don't want Petrino because we'd probably end up in some kind of scandal and on probation for 10 years. Herman has jumped around a lot here in his early years. Houston is not a destination job for him, so there should at least be a chance LSU could lure him away.

I'm with Baloo on going for the up and comers and the younger coaches. I think we need a guy with some fire and some drive for a title.
Posted on 9/25/16 at 12:18 pm to heartbreakTiger
I see what you're saying but one can hope

what team has he left on probation?
he hasn't left a team on probation. What he did was stupid, only because he put the side piece on the payroll. He probably got tired of paying her out of pocket. I don't care about his habits of sleeping with others. Its well known that saban loves him some side candy and he wins just fine. We aren't paying him to be a nice guy, we are paying to win games. I'm not concerned that he would pull a les type error and keep making the same mistakes like putting side pieces on state payroll. Im sure this time canes could give her a gm spot or something

No, LSU will not be desperate. Come on, dude.
Is there pressure on to the make the right hire? Yes, there is every single time you have to make a hire. But LSU is a destination job in college football, so there will be plenty of quality candidates.

The main concern with LK should be rather he can manage the day to day things that a head coach manages. we know the offense will be lights out under him, and he appears to be smart enough to allow Aranda/O to run the defense and he wont go over and interfere with it. So it all comes down to the behind the scenes being a head coach for him.
Who would be his OC?
