They earned it more than lsu has, they got same amout of wins over all, sec wins as well plus got to finals in sec tourney. Lsu is insconsistent lately but they have not had their major contributors available lately only just got gavin dugas lately in sec tourney. Lsu will be much better next season as far as pitching and defense. Jay johnson improves alot in the past in year 2. It will fun to watch lsu what they can do in Louisville and see who they can knock off now they will have all players healthy rolling into the regionals. I like LSUs chances of advancing into the Supers in Louisville.

Ironically no. A Florida win in the championship game would boost LSU's RPI. Tigers beat the Gators 2/3 at their place

At this point, any minor movement in LSU’s RPI is unlikely to impact their host status. Oklahoma is either going to move up with a win over Texas or fall behind LSU with a loss. #21-23 aren’t hosting. A&M is hosting ahead of LSU regardless. The thing that helps LSU the most is Florida ending with a worse record vs SEC teams. That might put LSU in line to host ahead of Florida despite RPI differences.

Florida is going to host regardless of what they do today. I think LSU may still host (a long shot, admittedly) not because of ranking or RPI but rather because of reputation and their ability to pack the box for a regional. Tigers have hosted in the past as a #2 seed (1995 and 2005 stand out).

That worked out pretty well for Tigers @ College Station in 1989.
'89? You serious? 30+ yrs ago. Oh, and Skip is not in the dugout.

I don’t have a lot of respect for rankings, and you’re leaving out the fact that we were beaten by teams that we are going to be seeded in front of.

Packing the box doesn’t matter anymore. It’s all about TV money now. Ncaa doesn’t care about ticket sales cause every game is on TV or streaming.

Would you rather Host as a 16 seed or travel as a 2 seed knowing Tenn at 1 is sitting there waiting?

That's a sweet baseball rap, bro. Lately, have you won any rap battles lately?
