Exactly.

They’ve shown some quality in short outings. Hurd gave you one good inning today then a bad one, Little is the same with maybe an inning more. That’s 3 innings of relief work you might be able to rely on. It’s having those 2 continuing to start games he has to change.

Yes you are he was warning today and Friday. I think if he can get an inning midweek maybe we see him start to be that.

I’m not sure if we will use him 2/3 days yet but maybe over the next 5 series get him an inning per series and then work him more post season

Little was kinda shitting the bed in relief before, if I'm not mistaken.

Little needs to start innings. He gave us 3 good today.

I don’t think Hurd or Little should be guys we use to try to shut down a rally. That is Herring and Guidry now.

We probably need to keep Little as the Sunday guy and let him go 3 or longer if the bats are cooking

Agreed on on all accounts.

Both seem to struggle with runners on base.

Control is an overall issue.

Our injuries really have us in sort of a pickle along with Hurd not living up to his billing. I know people wanted Herring to Sunday but I think we should keep him in the pen.

Essentially we can try to operate Friday as Skenes for 7 and then if close bring in Herring or Guidry, if blow out Money, Dutton Helmers.

Then Saturday you have Floyd and top pen guys if needed.

Sunday make TDB but maybe start Little and then empty the pen.

Once Coleman is back use him first time we need a save of 1 inning.

Been up and down in the closer and starters role this year. Mid relief guy most likely.

If any of our guys can get some control we would be much better off.

We probably look better against a team that has guys that will chase.

I’d like to see us adjust, I feel like a UK team that doesn’t have slot of power you can pitch more to contact you don’t need to dance around them.

Usc or UF I get being careful with

I love what Collins did this week, im not sure we want to go with a curve ball pitcher as closer. It worked before for us though so maybe it works again.

Zone was really tight this weekend too and of course the errors. Outside of Herring and Hurd being left in too long our guys looked pretty good.

Seems the zone has been fairly tight for a majority of the season.

The good news is we have 5 series to experiment and get the team ready and rolling into the post season.

I have a feeling by sec tourny time we will have 2 or 3 guys emerge that haven’t already like Guidry and Herring.

Collins could be well on his way to being one of the guys, I think Coleman is next. Then we would have herring, Guidry, Collins and Coleman that are all guys we trust to bring in to close down an inning.

Good thing is we have 5 easier series plus sec tourny to work on finding something for the post season mainly Omaha.

We should have a easy regional and in a super we should be able to get 2 of 3

Collins is very close to being that dude

Guidry also can

Those 2 guys in particular, on game 1.
Collins' nasty 71 mph curve, after you faced Skenes and his 100 mph fastball 3 at bats, would be obscene.
Guidry also has that change of pace, and he comes after hitters.

this is where I am. Ackenhausen though is the wildcard. He has done a little of everything except start

Coleman was in-game bullpen warming up last two games if I'm correct.

He was, so that's to my point...I'm wondering if he can step into that type of role for us...it would be a huge get for us at this stage.. I was really glad to see him throwing in the pen Thursday night I believe.
