Etling completed 13 of 22 passes for 168 yards with one interception in the scrimmage. One of his touchdowns was a 57-yard completion to Alexandria senior wide receiver D.J. Chark, who led the team with three catches for 89 yards.

True freshman Myles Brennan, who is the only threat to Etling, completed 10 of 20 passes for 122 yards with a touchdown and an interception and a long completion of 20 yards. No. 3 quarterback Lowell Narcisse, also a true freshman, attempted only two passes with no completions, but he ran for a touchdown.

Senior tailback Darrel Williams led the Tigers with 60 yards on 17 carries. Starting junior tailback Derrius Guice was held to limited duty as he already has the job. He gained 48 yards on seven carries.

Orgeron's statistics for the scrimmage read seven sacks, but he said 10 could have been counted.

"Our defense, especially on third down, beat the offense," Orgeron said. "Our pass rush was superb today on third down. We still have some work to do on our pass protection."

OL issues sound familiar, however....

So far, Canada > Slinger

Either that, or our defense is the 2000 Ravens

Scrimmages don’t mean anything!!!!!

Etling was good!!!!!!

Canada was bad and his scrimmages were better so this scrimmage being worse must mean Ensminger is good!!!!!

I may be in minority, but I didn’t care for Canada’s stupid offense.

Scrimmage stats are pure fiction. I'm honestly shocked that people are not clued in on this yet. Amazing.

I didn't care for it either. Most people didn't. That's what makes the hire that much worse, especially if it puts up better numbers than this year's offense.

I didn't care for the linemen shifts. Didn't fool anybody and just tired them out. Wideout shifts OK

What does the defense have to do with the offense not doing as well than last year's potentially. I wasn't talking about the scrimmage, but you think it's that much better?

The Defense is absolutely 100% better than last year based on quality depth alone. 100%

You think it's that much better to cause that much of a difference in the offensive scrimmage stats? Of course it's better.

Well, it moved the ball against the National Champion’s defense better than we have in many years. Steve’s offense the previous year was shut out and never really threatened.
Did we even get to see Canada’s true offense?

I liked what he did in 2016 at Pitt.

It was ok but horrible n the red zone. And that’s crucial for a successful offesne.

Is that really debatable? Everybody knows at this point Canada > E. The question will be after the year

I dont believe any of these scrimmage stats... I think the other day the stats showed that the receivers had more catches than the quarterbacks had completions or something like that!

Thats what I wonder. He had one year, one year isn’t necessarily enough to get everything the way he wanted. Especially if he was being obstructed at any point.
