on any given play, or at least chew up real estate was JV and AB--1000 yard rushing Freshman, before the 12 game regular season.

Don't get me wrong, Ridley is the truth, and a bruiser, like Hester was. like Scott was,

but where is our McFadden/Cadillac/Ingram burner type RB who is gonna be feared?

I ask because I don't proclaim to know the capability of Ford, Hilliard, Hill (if he recommits), Blue, Ware, et al.

Ford will be a threat to score on every play. He's good.

Ford is going to be great.

The rant actually got one right.

Jv ran through holes as big as 18 wheelers. Not a good example. I would say the diesel.

- JV in 2003 and never again after that
- Ally Broussard in 2004 and then never again
- Trindon was able obviously but he never touched the ball so he was ruled ineffective
- I would say out of the backs (currently) on the roster the only guy that could be a threat to score on any play would be the Gore kid from Miami, but the little that Ford has been able to play he has shown he may very well have that ability as well but we'll have to wait and see

If we have a back that consistently gets us first downs then why are you complaining? Ridley is damn good and he can break a good one every now and then. I would rather have a guy who will always get that first down instead of a guy who may sometimes break a home run.

Ford and Spencer will both be big contributors to the running game with time.

I think Hilliard has the potential to be something very special.

Got caught from behind in the BCSNCG on a play anyone with a sub 4.7 forty would have housed if I remember correctly.

ETA: Maybe the SECCG.

but he'll never be anything that resembles a home run threat. shonn greene type player? sure. and that would be fantastic.

Agreed! People seem to forget how important hard running is in the SEC. Everyone is all of a sudden talking about Ridley not being the next great RB but I think this year was an awesome job by him. Keep rolling Ridley, great Tiger!

Derrick Strait walked him down, and he wasn't exactly slow.

JV did house that one vs UGA in the SECCG though, didn't think he had it in him.
