Last day of SEC will make for interesting scenarios for LSU

If LSU beats Missouri they clinch 7th place, possibly all alone or possibly in a 2 or 3 team tie dependent upon whether A&M or Mississippi State win their finale. Ole Miss is 10th but could be tied by Arkansas if they lose and the Hogs win, and would also be tied with A&M or State if they lose the last game. If LSU wins the big question will be whether they take the 7th or 8th spot in the tourney and then who will they play. The best matchup will likely be Ole Miss . This would require OM beating A&M and State falling to South Carolina. Whatever scenario allows them to avoid State, Aggies or Arkansas offers the best chance to advance to the next round of the tournament.
So lets pull for a Tiger win and State and A&M losses. Then hope we don't regret what we prayed for .

After stonybrook and fsu, I quit praying for certain situations to play out.

The only thing they control is what happens in the PMAC. The only certainty is they will either play the 7 vs 10 or 8 vs 9 game on Thursday. Ole Miss would appear to be the best matchup.
The Aggies don't shoot well and if they can keep them off the offensive glass they are beatable.
It would be nice to hold Hubbard in check and see what happens if they play State.
Arkansas is a wild card depending upon which version shows up. We saw both extremes this season.

Would be a better scenario if LSU is in the 7/10 game. Would play either South Carolina or Bama winning your first game. Not easy by any stretch but better scenario that the 8/9 game. Winner plays Tennessee. Tennessee looks pretty damn good right now.

We need to avoid Bama at all costs, we just don't matchup well with them.

Nor Tennessee, nor Auburn
You know, the good teams

Avoid Tenn, Alabama, and Auburn…we have a real shot!
seriously though just avoid Alabama.
I hope we throw caution to the wind in this tournament and shoot 30-40 3’s a game.

Yeah, LSU doesn't match up with ANY of those 3. The only difference between the 3 is that Alabama doesn't play defense (best offensive team in the country). So that at least gives you a fighting chance. Of course, that often doesn't matter because they seem to light LSU up anytime, anywhere.
It would be beyond great to see LSU win the SECT. But unless they could get matched up in a scenario where they play South Carolina in the 2nd game (quaterfinals), I don't see a path past that round. While their performance in SEC play has been huge improvement from last season, and even the non-conf. schedule, LSU is still a very average team (at best).
Let's hope they get a win tomorrow against a team that looks like they are just ready for the season to be over, then go on to win in their first game of the SECT (likely against Ole Miss, A&M, or Miss. St). Anything after that is a nothing to lose opportunity for them.

They actually were very competitive with Alabama for about 32 minutes last time, then poor decision making and a few shots suddenly falling for BAMA allowed them to pull away. I would love for the Tigers to get another crack at them.
