I agree. Chad Jones was damn good.

The bat down on 3rd down vs. Miss St. is still one of my favorite defensive plays of all time. So clutch.

I know who you're talking about. They had a cool camaraderie. Much like Mingo and Sonic.

I'll never forget that PP7 windmill on Jones' punt return. "Come on, brother! I gotcha covered!"

That was awesome.

They will surely be missed, but still pulling for Chad Jones to make it back to the pros.

I still love that pop he gave Joe Adams in the Arky game in '09. He knocked the guy's helmet off and his mouthpiece went flying.

And of course the tackle on Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson where he sacked him and the ball game lose. I forget who recovered that. I want to say it was Darry Beckwith.

Same here. The guy is the definition of determination and resilience.

Class act.

I saw that live and was very close to where it happened. It was without a doubt the scariest and most painful looking hit I've ever seen live in any football game.

I was there too. I was speechless after it happened. Both were seeing stars.

steltz had like 11 INTS in 2 years as a starter. Landry had 12 and was a 4 year starter

Jones struggled with pass coverage throughout his time here. Possibly the only reason he wasn't a 1st round pick. Landry and Reid are the two best I've seen here. Ryan Clark wasn't bad either.

Eric Reid isn't that great in pass coverage. This year he has been average and that's generous. As has most of our secondary though.

he's not good in man coverage, and yet we're constantly in situations where and he and Loston are manning guys up (and showing it pre-snap). but that's a topic for another day.

I had a good laugh the first time I saw that. Taking the windmill all the way to the Hall of Fame.

Chad Jones was good but he was a fan favorite.. meaning he got overrated. Baseball made him fat for the 09 season.

Just stopping by to say in my opinion, Landry's best year at LSU was his 1st.

This one against Georgia Tech was badass as well

Video

People who say he was inconsistent in coverage must not remember the same problem with Landry
