Lane's situational awareness has been trash in close games.

Taking the 4th down Delay of Game penalty on YOUR 15 YARD LINE after trying to draw an offsides penalty. Bro just punt the damn ball! They aren't jumping offsides that deep into your territory.

Ball gets moved back to the 10 yard line. Your struggling Punter is now in a pressure situation. He outkicks the coverage trying to reverse the field position. Ryan Williams has a ton of room and runs the punt back into your territory. All the momentum left the stadium. One play later, Touchdown. Ball game!

Simple arse decisions, man.

It’s like he never paid attention under Saban.

Yesterday was a pile of poor coaching decisions. Not decisions that were bad with the benefit of hindsight. But bad in the moment.

I’ll even live with trying the 56 yard FG early in the game. In fact, it was a savvy play to let the clock run out so he could try it with the wind at his back. But everything after that were decisions made out of either a lack of belief in the team or impulse

Yep it just feels like he’s trying to overthink everything. Not to mention this team just cannot make winning plays when they matter most. Example - when we finally went up 13-10 and the defense, which was good all night, immediately lets them drive right down the field and score. It’s been like that in every loss.

Decisions based on emotion and ego versus logic and common sense. I hate coaches who 100% follow the analytics, but Kiffin should give it a try.

It was bad. You go for 56 yd FG on then you dont take the 2x short FG in qst half.

Play calling 4th downs were not good.
The 2nd direct snap on 4th was dumb. That play is so telegraphed with the shift over of the QB/RB not to mention they run it 4 times a game. So teams are ready for it.
The OL and QB play has to be better.
This loss is purely on offense and coaching.

So we have 3 losses and the common thread is in game coaching decisions, indecision, scheme and over thinking decisions.
Now of course there were other factors in all those losses but there is a common theme.

If this was year 3.....he should be fired for the decisions he made!

A third grader would make better calls!

His in game coaching, along with Bakers, has been poo.

Lane’s decisions are akin to a gambler on a losing streak. The dude is on TILT.
