That's a big stretch on both counts - as is pointed out earlier in this thread. Majority of starters on both sides are new players. You get guys out of the portal that you expect to play, and both team got plenty out of the portal.
In the end their returning QB was better than our portal QB and that was the difference. Ironically, if Ole Miss's starting QB had not gotten hurt last year I doubt very seriously Ole Miss make the CFB playoff.

That is Lanes team. Almost 50 percent returned. The impact and key players were brought in And developed by Lane. The culture is Lanes. Hell pete had to go out and get the last OC to run Lanes Offense there. Lane built that team. Only thing Pete isn’t doing that Layne did are the basketball goals. Rosters changed every year pre NIL. I’m not saying Pete’s dog shite, but I’m not sold on him being the next Saban or Smart.

if by 14 new starters you mean almost - 13 of them offense or defense - so 9 of 22 position players returned - I guess 40% is maybe almost 50% then yeah.

Look, it was time for BK to go, bad fit bad everything - I agree. But what i'm hearing in this discussion is we lost to Ole Miss because we still are infested with BK's players and culture and Ole Miss still has LK's players and culture.
That's convenient rationalization. If you want to say you're glad to have LK over BK that's reasonable and understandable. But we lost because of BK, that's too bit of a stretch for me to agree with.
Both can be true, LK can be the better option than BK and we lost to Ole Miss in a game we could have won and if we get our heads out of our arse before the last half of the second quarter - should have won. Lane's team and culture got their arse kicked yesterday.
