I’m not saying finding a coach who won’t bang students should be the number 1 criteria for this hire but I don’t think Joey Freshwater is a good fit for the program right now.

Posters who intimate: "Kiffen is a great offensive coach". True, agree!

Every time I read a "Kiffen is the man" post, I am curious why win-loss results seems to escape these posters, including the seeming immaturity as a HC, ignoring the tenure and number of places he has been...all typical "red flags" when hiring someone for an important leadership role in an organization. Why does the Offense high qualities cast shadows on the actual performance results part of his reputation, including his commitment to a program?

Kiffin doesn't deserve the LSU job. Why are people so enamored with Joey? He's a great OC but unproven as a HC.

Considering our current head coach, I think that ship has sailed.

I think LK has matured as far as behavior, but I do agree that his commitment to other programs is a concern. I would want to think that LSU is near a pinnacle, but you never know.

This last game at bama he does the before game interview and just says get your popcorn ready and throws the headset in the air and runs off...and proceeds to get smoked by bama. No thanks.

Why would you anchor your expectations to current HC? Need excellence mindset. Yours is not.

He is a 60% winning coach. He has averaged just over 2 years at a school in his HC tenure:

2007–2008 Oakland Raiders
2009 Tennessee
2010–2013 USC
2014–2016 Alabama (OC/QB)
2017–2019 Florida Atlantic
2020–present Ole Miss

Muschamp at DC would be interesting to see. Muschamp is not a good HC but he’s a great coordinator.

I think this is what you meant to say….

Because he can’t run or sustain a program the size of LSU. He’s a hired gun with no vision and no building capability.

our talent sucks ...get a grip on that. 19/20 recruiting classes turned out awful for LSU
Sure, we have several skill players, but without the horses up front...and LSU has ZERO! LSU will never be any good with any coach.

Ahhhh the daily we want Kiffin thread.

He’s a joke. Not as big a joke as O but still a joke. No sane fan should this guy anywhere near our program unless he wants a demotion to OC.
