Don’t know why but I love how relaxed and down to earth this interview was.

It is somewhat of a tough listen though, as Tyrann and his buddy aren’t the best interviewers.

I actually disagree, To me his questions felt very down to earth, not just softballs pandering to coach speak. I was actually interested to hear Lanes responses to most of the questions.

You should go listen to Lane’s interview with Pardon My Take. It’s the same vibe but with people that have been interviewing people multiple times a week for the past decade.

The questions were good. Their delivery methods are obviously very untrained.

Arguably the most exciting player in LSU history, Super Bowl Champion, Heisman finalist, donated millions to LSU, Tiger Legend, Tyrann "Honeybadger" Mathieu. People definitely want to hear him.

He’s in my top 3 favorite players of all time and I can’t listen to more than 5 mins of that pod lol.

What does football and wanting to hear someone talk have to do with each other?

I can’t remember ever being this hyped up for a football season. LSU fans are truly blessed

Lane seems to really understand the LSU brand more so than Kelly or Les for sure. O and Saban knew.

As in he knows LSU is right there with Georgia Ohio State and Alabama when it comes to willingness and commitment to get it done along with historical prestige

"Most exciting player in LSU history". Talent wise, no question But his weed use, after warning after warning after warning cost LSU the bama game that year. He was replaced by a freshman ( blank on name, sorry) who got faked out on a screen pass, from A.J .McCarron to a bama RB. The RB walked into the endzone for a last minute game winning TD. In a game that LSU dominated, holding bama under a 100 yards till that last minute drive.

It was tough to watch and listen to because you can tell those guys are not in the business of asking questions. I could only watch the first few minutes and had to find something else.

Lane more than makes up for it. He goes into detail and reads into the what they are looking for and offers much more.
