Of course, LSU uses the portal. This year, Kiffin has used it much more effectively. Why will next year for Ole Miss be rough (unless they lose Kiffin)? Kiffin has established them as a solid program. In his 3rd year, Kelly has exposed LSU as being in decline. I guess Kelly's ability to keep the 2025 recruiting class intact will be the deciding factor.

Because Ole Miss went all in on winning this year and spent a ton of NIL money, most of the talent they have are done after this year.

We all know this, though. No one is arguing otherwise.
BUT, Ole Miss finished 4th in the portal. They brought in 26 transfers this cycle. LSU brought in 9. One model is built to sustain. One is built to win 1 season.
Let's revisit this in a year or two regardless of what happens with Kelly. Let's see where Kiffin has Ole Miss and what he's won.

That was the minimal expectation for Ole Miss this year.
Kiffin is in his fifth year, they had a fairly easy schedule, and spent a ton of money trying to win this year.
Ole Miss was always supposed to be better than LSU this year, I'm not sure why we're pretending Kiffin is a great coach because they are.

Actually Lane has complained for years to stop the fake injuries and nothing was done about it so he took advantage of it. Now because of what he has done something is being done to stop it.
Lane us a bit older and wiser now. I would have taken him over BK AND we would have saved a lot of money.
