In the last 4 games:

Nola is 0-8
Landry is 5-5

Looks like Landry is on fire against the same competition that has shut Nola down.

Typical douche post. You go back 4 games to make Nola look bad knowing Landry didn't play but in the last two. You also forget to mention Nola had two RBI v 0 for Landry in the last FL game.

I've wondered the same thing. Nola is about to drop below .200, and Leon is hot. Since PM pinch hit him against Florida, he went 2-2 that game with a double, and last night went 3-3 with a double, and drew a walk. In his last 6 plate appearances, he's 5-5 with 2 doubles and a walk. I don't care what competition you are facing, that's hot. If you don't think so, why hasn't nola done better than he has against the same competition.

I realize our infield is better with nola in it. The question is, "Is our defense that much better to where we can leave a guy hitting .205ish starting over a guy who started last year and is hitting around .285ish and is getting hot?"

PM did say in the post game last night that Leon is likely to see playing time against a RHP.

An important note to this is that last year, Leon had the lowest BA on the team of any starter at .271. Perhaps he has improved, perhaps he is only good enough to stay in the high 200's. Regardless, this is a pretty good debate.

The subject of my post is "Landry is on Fire"
Did you want me to post stats from the last 20 games for a guy that I said was on fire going into the weekend?

The only douche posting right now is you. Read others such as Maximus and see what levelheaded input looks like.

Regardless of the debate it's nice to have Landry as an option again...... Could be a huge plus moving forward!

Any reason you picked the last four games or did you just feel the need to inflate Nola to 0-8?

On fire v Nola RBI Nola 2 Landry 1
Runs scored Nola 2 Landry 2
Doesn't look as lopsided as you were making it out.

Not sure where you got you're stats from Jaydeaux, here is a link to the game by game stats LINK

Since Landry has been in the lineup over the last 2 games, here are the stats for Nola vs. Landry:

Nola- 0 for 3, 1 run, 2 RBI's, 1 Walk
Landry- 5 for 5, 3 runs, 1 RBI, 1 Walk

I want to say that Nola's 2 RBI's were both fielder's choices, but I can't remember. I know he has sac bunted at least twice in the last 2 games.

It was enough for Mainieri to move him to the outfield.

he got moved to the outfield so we could produce more double plays.

He has had barely any errors the last 2 seasons at 2nd base

while i agree with your point about schimpf being a really good 2nd basemen, I'd say he got moved to the outfield more because of Lemahieu's inability to turn double plays and because he is the only infielder who can play LF

Nola has had a lot of hard hit outs. This guy can hit and wasn't the LA player of the year for nothing. He hasn't been in the starting lineup that long and just needs some more ABs b4 he's consistant.

Do you get an RBI for that? Also, it was the guy that started the thread who picked the last 4 not me.

Looks like Mainier doesn't know shite and Landry should be in there. I'm obviously wrong.

My main frustration was the douche manner in which he used the last four to make Nola 0-8 v 0-5 with 2 RBI.

Here's Mainieri's comment after the game last night. Expect to see more of Landry. The question is who does he replace.

sounds like Landry will get a shot against RH pitchers and Nola against lefties, I can live with that

I'm not trying to make Nola look bad, I think he does a good job of working the count and he has come through with sac bunts when needed. I simply asked the question about what others thought of Landry's recent success? Sorry if I came accross as a "douche" for posting factual statistics over the last few games.

Ok sorry then but why include two games Landry didn't play in?

Ryan had one bad game against Tennessee but he had been gold defensively before that game.

Correct and Schimpf was only charged with 3 errors all of last season. The move had absolutely nothing to do with his defense at 2nd.

no one said LL was as
quote:

fast a shite
...just much faster than Austin Nola...

but i was also told by one of the football players that Leon was the 3rd fastest on the team.
