It's amazing how many dumb pricks there are on this site who think their crude comments are so funny.

Hopefully one day you will grow up, but maybe not.

+1

I thought they did a really good job in promoting LSU. A lot of positive things were said about the players and LSU in general.
My wife just got back today, she went for Saturday's and last night's game. She said it was an incredible experience. They stayed at the Embassy Suites downtown and she said it's a great placy to stay. Plus the team is staying there this year.

Hopefully LSU will make it agian next year as it's already down for a family vacation no matter what. But LSU being there would make it a much better time.

I had some work commitments otherwise my son and I would have went this past weekend as well.

It's the CWS, no road will be easy. But LSU is playing as well as anyone right now so here's to us making it the "ship" and having a great series.

Assuming Gaudet is healthy would you bet your life he would or would not be on the roster?

I think he'll give it another shot. He and Bertuccini are good friends and roommates. I think a couple of other players are moving in with the two of them next year and I think that will play a huge factor in him wanting to be on the team. And I hear PM wants him to give it another shot.

Nitpicking is very unbecoming especially on something so insignificant...Ive travelled with the team so I was just making an observation...apparently you guys are in the dugout right now helping Paul with the lineup card...Phucking Phags!!

This could also apply to you since you started with the comment "Sorry but Paul Bertucini = Not so much!!". And if you've traveled with the team one would think you'd at least know who to spell the player's name whose talent and role you are debating.

VERY EFFECTIVE when he comes in to get out of a jam.

He does this as well as anyone we have. Maybe not so well sometimes when he starts the next inning but how many times has he saved up from big innings?

But I'm a huge Bertuccini fan. Great kid who loves the pressure situations, understands his role and loves it.

Every great team needs the stars and the role players.

And the bottom line is we WON!

McGuires is the Irish pub I was thinking of. I thought was pretty good. Not sure if Dewey Destin's is the other one or not. Is Dewey Destin's the one that is not too far from McGuires and kind of a hole in the wall? If so I have not eaten there but I've heard very good things about it just haven't had the chance to try it yet.
Don't remember the name of the place but it's almost under the bridge on the Ft. Walton side, right on the water. Good seafood and defintely casual.

On the Destin side there is a Irish Pub right as you go over the bridge that has great food and it's casual as well.

Sorry don't recall the names but if you're there I'm sure you could ask someone.
Visiting the in-laws in a few weeks and wanted to see if anyone knew of a good seafood market in the Kenner / Metairie area. We'd like to pick up some fresh shrimp and maye some fish to bring back to ATL with us.
Just goes to show you that one size doesn't fit all.....

But that's got to be a man who feels confident in who he is and doesn't give a rat's arse what anyone else thinks...

Or a drunk!

Those boy scouts sure don't know what to think. Hope that's not one of their dads....

If you have time to go into CAN Vancouver is a beautiful city. And if I remember correctly the drive is less than 3 hours from Seattle. Multiple ferries from Vancouver area out to various points on the island, it's a great ride. If you really have time the dirve up to Whistler is another couple of hours and very scenic.

A couple of years back went in to Seattle, spent a few days in the city, caught a ball game, drove up to Whistler for sking for the week. Great place summer or winter.

You're only a little more than an hour from Athens in Downtown Atlanta...

That's on a regular day. Be prepared for a much longer drive up on game day unless you leave real early. You could find rooms other than Buckhead or downtown but if you're looking for nightlife those are probalby you're two best options.

Others that party more could probably give specific recommendations as I'm a few years past that stage.

Good seafood resturant in Metarie

Looking for suggestions for a good seafood resturant in the Metarie / Kenner area. Will be visiting my mother-in-law in a couple of weeks and looking for a good place to take her. We usually go to Deanies and really enjoy it but looking to see if someone has a better recommendation. She's 78 so we're not looking for something fancy, just casual but good food.

Thanks!

would be very weary of any rooms on the Iowa side. Buyer beware!!!

I've stayed at the Ameristar / Holiday Inn in Council Bluff IA on business about 6 months ago and there was nothing wrong with it. It's right across the river from Omaha. I travel quite a bit and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

At this point I would think your problem will be finding a decent hotel that still has rooms available, and at a decent price.

The way he said it I took it to mean some fan would jump in front of him to get the ball, not necessarily to protest him.

Watching the game yesterday they said the last ACC school to win it was Wake Forest in 1955. That surprised the hell out of me.
Don't know about from NO or BR but from here in ATL it's the only way to get a resonable flight into the Omaha area. And since I always rent a car I'd have that expense anyway so I don't really mind the drive.
Since I usually only get to a handful of away games each year, and the SEC tourney, I don't mind him at all. At times it gets awful quite unitl he gets the crowd going.

He's better than that old SC guy at the SEC tourney every year.

I'm all for someone supporting their team and making noise.
