For the last 10 - 15 years campus police, BRPD, LSP, and ATC spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in OT expenditures simply to issue as many MIP tickets as possible.

Supplemental income for the city with low risk for the LEO.. just won’t cut it anymore…. We all know the issues, we call them out and they are to afraid to do their job bc of potentially being called out by the hustlers.. either it changes or the continued creeping onto campus will drive away more people needed for this to work..

You cannot prevent this element from coming on campus, but I've always thought it was pretty obvious who was there for football, and those who aren't.

Stop, frisk and arrest for weed or guns will definitely prevent this element from coming on campus. Do we have the will is the question?

We already have black fatigue in this post. Imagine when white boy cop stops to frisk JaLeroy and his squad that reek of weed from 50 yards away (I go to games, so I know the experience)

They of all people should understand, LSU hired Tate from USCe which started/contributed to this decay with identity admissions.

Exactly. LOL at all of the pussies downvoting these posts.

They need to go to the USCe board and see what they're saying.

They are more concerned with making MIP arrests at the frat parties than this. Balances their numbers racially, and generates revenue.

Let the fans be strapped to take care of it themselves. It would cease in a NY minute.

There were dreadlock thugs reeking of weed walking around everywhere.

This is one of "unintended consequences" of decriminalizing/legalizing weed. These people used to have to stay at their houses to do it.

Can you point out those groups? The majority of violent crime is committed by a small and homogeneous group and we all know who they are.

Shhhh, you can’t say that. Statistics hurts their feelings.

They also need to be harassing people who are obviously not there for football or tailgating. Raid the large groups of unsavory people who who are not wearing any LSU gear and reek of weed. Also need to stop and frisk.. make them not want to be anywhere around campus on game days

People love government over reach when it benefits them.

How can any problem be faced and resolved if we cannot speak of it with honesty?

I’m not even against weed but what I witnessed yesterday was the most ghetto, ratchet scene I’ve ever experienced at an LSU tailgate. Guys with rolled up cigars hanging out of their hats, dressed in all black walking around. I’ve got my 8 and 5 year old getting contact high just walking to the bookstore.

How’s that gonna help? There’s no real criminal penalty for weed anymore. Probably not for concealed carry anymore.

If you stop and frisk someone now, find a bag of weed and a handgun … what is the crime? How worried would this criminal element be?

This is the experience now that LSU went full BLM a few years ago. They lit the stadium up in George Floyd high school colors for fricks sake. Everything WOKE TURNS TO shite!

Pretty sure possessing a gun and drugs is still a pretty serious crime.

Campus is a “no gun zone”. That alone will get them arrested.
