I meant it in a sense that keeping in state kids at LSU is more important here than it is to Alabama. Under Saban they have yet to "lose steam" at any point in his tenure.
Well, i think they have had a little more fortune than lsu with keeping their underclassmen. c.j. mosely stayed last year. that type of player is gone after three at lsu.
That is the difference in the programs to this point. They haven't lost quite as much after year three as lsu. Well, and qb. they have done better at the qb position.
The rest, we are pretty close, we just lose more guys after three than they do. 4 quality players can make a big difference. we probably don't lose in 2012 if brockers, mingo, claiborne stay.

The only thing Landon Collins is "showing us" is that he deeply regrets not coming to LSU! I can see why he's bitter, I mean, he chose a thug leach of a team like bama instead of the Fighting Tigers! I'm actually very glad he didn't go to LSU, wouldn't want his sorry attitude on the team, and he's not all that good anyway. It was fun watching Oklahoma burn him over and over!

and the LSU fans that still harass him?
Anyone who tweets at a player is a loser and a creep (unless it is their job). But who is harassing him? He lives in Tuscaloosa. Are LSU fans driving across the border and going to his classes to heckle him?
You didn't see Patrick Peterson still talking about the Gators after deciding to come to LSU. Heck, you don't see Cam Robinson talking about LSU. Talk about the team you play for. Own your decision and move on with your life.
Landon is shooting off his mouth and then getting upset that people rose to his bait. We get it, you're insecure. Stop it. He's still at the Army AA game, mentally and emotionally. I've got nothing against the guy (well, other than I root against all players for Bama), I just think the more he talks about LSU, the more you feel he is trying to talk himself into a decision he made a long time ago.

Collins is trash.....just like the school and fan base he represents. It will be nice to see #18 truck his arse again.

I hope he gets trucked Madden style by Fournette and in the process he crushed Landon's helmet in half.

Maybe we'll see another facemask come off a helmet only this time it will be Landon's facemask when Fournette lowers his shoulder into him.

quote:Yes, those of us who are over 40 yrs of age at least, do. Young people today have no sense of loyalty or self awareness. It's actually frightening. Do you really find it hard to believe that people become fans of a team at a very young age and then dream of playing for said team their entire childhood?
Do people like this really exist?
i mean, Have you ever even seen an interview with an athlete or watched an ESPN in depth interview or do you live under a rock?

You're right. People never used to leave Louisiana to go elsewhere. People totally aren't staying in state to go to LSU for school and/or sports more than ever or anything like that.

This article has quite a bit to do with the rant's perpetual Bitchers that raked all of the GOOD Louisiana prospects over the coals when they chose Alabama.
The lesser rated prospects didnt hear anything while the good ones had shite said about their girlfriends and mothers....which still continues to this day.
Bama writers relish writing about our vocal minority fanbase that made absolute losers of themselves while the rest of us watched you in utter despair.
You can partially blame the first players that broke your heart, while completely blaming yourselves if you said even a peep about someone's girlfriend. That tends to stick in recuits' minds a bit, as well as future ones.
And now LSU could possibly be paying for it.
The smart people with just a dash of common sense saw this coming from a mile away, and had the brains to remain silent; even well-wish the recruits. But it was nullified by the insolent Ranters and radio Callers-in.
