Off the top of my head he took a terrible angle in the Saturday South Carolina game and let a single/possible double turn into an easy triple.
yep

He also badly misplayed a ball off the wall against Florida
that ball came off the wall way harder than I think anyone would've thought

what ever happened to a good ole fashioned defensive substitution? why not start foster and try to utilize his offense for 3 ABs and then depending on how the lineup falls, throw Stevenson out there in the grass for the 7th, 8th, and/or 9th

I'd be totally for that, except for when we are losing obviously

It could happen to anyone if they were going hard toward the wall and couldn't react to the bounce. He pulled up to play it off the wall, and still misplayed it because he anticipated one bounce, wasn't on his toes, and couldn't react when it didn't come straight back to him.

it turned into a Stevenson/defense vs Foster/offense discussion

He's played a decent amount out there. Before Stevenson started playing center, he was mostly in right
I think there was still a lot of Sciambra CF Laird RF early prior to Stevenson also.

Laird
And made one of the greatest plays ever at LSU.

This x 1000
That way Stevenson might not even get around to batting .

Sciambra hasn't played much at all . Just the very beginning of the year.

Laird 2 hole why???
Because we are winning about 90% of our games, and not many coaches would tamper with that??

It did. But go back and watch what he does before that.

People need to stop saying Laird can't bunt just because they heard The Boat say it in May.
Or you can watch Laird try to bunt and fail game after game and think that way for yourself. It's their call, jackass.

What was our win % before Stevenson became the permanent center fielder? You want to know our win % with Raph in the 2 hole? 100%.
Why mess with it?
Posted on 5/22/13 at 9:53 pm to Choupique19
I'm willing to bet our win % without stevenson in the outfield is better than with him in it

And early in the year is what I was talking about. McMullen only had 3 starts in the outfield early in the season prior to Stevenson getting regular PT...and Sciambra was getting most of the starts at that point. McMullen hasn't been out there much at all.
