Did we get insights on why there seemed to be so few RPO called for Brennan last game? I thought RPO contributed a lot to JB and the overall offense’s success last year. Was it because Brennan wasn’t ready to execute it consistently yet?

The RPO did not work because Miles was never a threat to run.

Holy shite RPO doesn’t need a running QB. Why don’t you people get this

We’re not an RPO offense.

And if we were, how do you think it would go with Myles hanging on to the ball so long?

He also hung on to the ball way to long so the RPO would not have been effective.

So, two comments, and just like that, you have shown you have no clue what an RPO is. Do you know what it is an acronym for?

Another dumb arse who thinks the RPO is the same as the read option

RPO and Read option are two different things. RPO is when a QB reads the LB and decides to hand off or throw. A read option is when a QB reads an edge defender and decides to hand off or keep and run himself. RPO does not need a running QB to be effective, just a quick decision maker. Yes burrow ran some read options on 3rd and short last year and yes, myles ran some read options on Sat but didn't keep it. But please understand the difference between the two.

But they both have the word option in them. How are we supposed to keep up?

Brennan needs to run more speed options and we need to get away from the triple option/wishbone

I honestly don't know if Myles can read a defense well enough post-snap to run RPOs

a RPO is a designed run play like duo with a guy running a slant for example behind a LB. if the LB plays the run, you pass, if he plays the pass, you run. THE QB DOES NOT HAVE TO BE MOBILE FOR A ONE READ PLAY

The rant criticizes Brennan for poor decision making all week and missing basic reads.

The rant then asks why we didn’t call plays where Brennan has to make more decisions and make more difficult reads.

Some real geniuses on here.

Yes. Two the finest statements I ever heard. Likely to be more. Miles was the problem. He wasn’t getting rid of the ball fast enough. When he got rid of the ball under 3 secs he ess over 250 yards and 3 TD 72%.

Myles has to keep some of the zone read plays. I know he’s not fast but he’s got to be able to keep the defense honest especially in the RZ (where any QB can run)
