Bush pitched incredibly well the last time he started. Its the right move to try him.

With that said, im really worried about this game now

who else should start? Gilbert? Beck? We don't really have many options if Labas is out. Bush is really the only option right now if Labas can't go.

Not only that, but how are you going to piece together 9 innings without Bush. If he has to pitch it hardly matters what innings he gets.

I think it is sad when Bama starting pitchers are this much better than ours. What a change.

When’s the last time injuries hit the baseball team like this?

Nothing new, really. There are injuries like this every year. But this time its later than usual.

Really?
Tell me the last time LSU lost their starting shortstop for the season minus 5 games.
One starting pitcher for the whole season. The two best incoming freshman starters have battled injuries all year.
Second baseman missed 20 games.
1b/Dh in Bryce Jordan for most of the season.
Center fielder missed 10 games.
Catcher has been battling a hand issue since before the season.

This team with all of that is right in the thick of things to win the west. They will make a regional somewhere and depending on who all of the list above is good to go may make a run.

If you honestly thin bama has better starting pitching than lsu, you are truly an idiot and should just stop watching baseball.

If they had better pitching they would have won more than 7 sec games. Their senior starter in his second to last game threw the best game of his life and got the benefit of a 27 inch wide plate and bad batted ball luck.

There is no real way to spin this as a positive.

We're pretty much out of bullets.

Yep this season started bad and has pretty much stayed that way. Just one of those years!

That's just a dumb, uninformed statement.

I honestly dont know what to do but laugh and hope. This team has been cursed from the get go this year. Oh well

my sentiments exactly. I never give up but somewhere along the line we have to face reality. the team lost too much from our great year last year and just cannot sustain all of these injuries. our pitching staff is damn near in shambles.

I’d start Beck or Peterson over Bush without batting an eye.

No. I'm in to eat my crow on this one. Five strong innings from Bush. Well done, young man. There's a reason I don't get paid to coach the team.

Bush will start? Really? Why? Just to be consistent and give them another early lead? That just fricking sucks.

This is why you are not a coach and Coach doesn't greet at Walmart, like you.

We wouldn't go deep in the post season regardless of a miracle.
Considering the injuries, the lack of top notch pitching across the board, anemic power this team is not made for a title.

Who had expectations of this team going deep in the post season? Maybe a couple of homers...We had to replace our weekend starters and 4 best hitters.
