I don't know about that. I remember we had some teams in the lated 80's / early 90's that would have probably beat LSU, but since Saban got to LSU, they have been a completely different animal.

Tech could beat most c-usa teams, some b1g, big east, acc, and a few sec teams this year. Lsu we could not beat we would make it respectible 21 or less but we would lose.

So your "greatest" teams might have been good enough to beat a 2-9 LSU squad.

I think that Tech could beat Kentucky, Vandy, and maybe Ole Miss this year. They are having a good season but I don't think they could beat LSU.

I have not seen Tech play this year, but they have been pretty impressive. I think Sonny Dykes has them on the rise. They would not beat LSU simply because of ball control but they do have a damn good offense. I guess the measure will be when Tech plays A&M in Shreveport in 3 weeks. If they blow out A&M, they might and i mean just might have an argument that they could even be competitive.

I love when tech fans speak as if its a foregone conclusion that they are a much better program than ULM. In reality they are much closer to ULM then LSU, but they think it is the other way around. Cute.
