I stand by the statement, I don't think it would have been a bad move to bring in Landry, who by the way had a couple of good at-bats when he did come into the game.
He batted once and was intentionally walked to load the bases. Yeah he battled up there.

did you see his first hit?
the game winning hit was a great AB. No denying that. Guy hung the curve and Mahtook blasted it.

Your right I forgot he was pinch runner I was thinking he drew two walks.

Yeah this is beyond absurd. You have a guy defending his suggestion that we pull our starting CF (who was batting .350 in Omaha and is one of our better hitters) because he didn't look good in his first 3 at bats of the game. I think I've found an argument that I can't win.

So 3 k's in one game negates what he's done all season?
that coupled with his adventures in the outfield last night, yes.
PM pinch hit for Austin Nola, does that negate what he did all year? He was the rock of our defense and PM lifted him.
I love Mahtook. But there are some cases where you pinch hit a guy, and that would have been a perfect situation

B/c he's too much a vag to admit when he's wrong...typical bitch.

who is a FR
who looked overwhelmed all game, in the field and at the plate
who was cramping up
oh yeah, what a travesty

There are some cases when you leave a guy in to get the GW hit...

I saw both hits, and there is no doubt Mikie was struggling. He obviously felt obligated to protect the outside of the plate since the umpire lacked consistency IMO. I still can't believe they went away from the fastball in his last at bat. Regardless, if you watched PM's interview after the game it was obvious he has an incredible amount of confidence in Mahtook.

i mean i respectfully disagree with lester. mikie is clutch and plays up to the moment always has and manaeri knows that. you stick with your guns. i questioned him not pinch hitting hanover for helinni earlier

no way should Landry have been the pinch runner.
1. he isn't that good of a baserunner and we have better ones
2. Why waste our best pinch hitter?

What adventures are you talking about? That kid has been solid all year in CF except for that ONE dropped ball.

the only reason you consider pulling mahtook is because of the cramps

Pinch hitting for a .240 hitter (your 9 hole hitter)is not the same as pinch hitting for your 5 hole hitter who is hitting about 100 points higher than Nola. You pinch hit for a guy to get a better hitter at the plate. You don't pinch hit for a guy and bring a lesser hitter to the plate.

Lester I was saying the same thing last night
LL is a great center feilder last year he made espn highlights twice, and has a good batting average.

the fact that he was cramping up all game long

Helinihi was by far the weakest link last night. Since we're on the subject of struggling.
