One of the most technical sound DL ever? LOL

He was also respected as one of the best leaders in the NFL. Seems like a guy who would be successful in anything would set out to do. The stifle said he was staying in Ruston, so my guess is he’s going to Cedar Creek or getting out of coaching and joining the business world.

Dude you say that about current lsu dl coach this year?
You don't, Rustons dl has been top tier for 6+ years...if not the best.

The guy was an elite NFL player, just because he doesn't have much coaching experience doesn't mean he can't coach

…and just because he was an elite NFL player doesn’t mean he can coach

Why are our fans so obsessed with hiring former players? I swear there’s a new player mentioned every week that needs to be on staff

Your point is well taken about all the Rantards who want every ex-player who is a homey or acquaintance to get a coaching job. They talk like the most illiterate of us, etc.
Kyle Williams is a poor person to use to oppose that tendency.
He’s the real deal.

Crazy. He has a bunch of kids and seemed like he loved it. Wonder if he would just go to LA tech?

same thing with Mawae in the recruiting living room. BTW, he has forgotten more about great Oline play than our present Oline coach
The "Present" OL Coach is an Orgeron hired joke. Why is "Sly C" still employed at LSU? Not an LSU-SEC Championship caliber OL Coach...............

Not everyone can be a coach just bc they were a great player. You have to be able to be able to coach each kjd differently. Some take an arse chewing and will ball out. Others may shutdown etc. How you teach and simplify what you teach is also big. If you cant adapt and make this kids wanna run through a brick wall for you. Then your not a good coach

He could be a recruiting coach and analyst but we already have the best DLine Coach and Peoples coaching the edge rushers.

I don't know, it seems like our present OL coach has forgotten a lot about great Oline play.

I'm not a LA HS football expert so I can't speak on the rest of them, but the way Ahmad Breaux was able to step in and be serviceable instantly has to be because of Williams. A coach that can get HS DL to learn good technique is special and there aren't many
