He nearly ruined 3 families. We do not need a cancer like this on the team or enrolled at LSU.

Something needs to be done about this but nothing will unfortunately. Rules for thee, not for me.

Can’t unfortunately. Potential social backlash is too risky.

But yes, ruining 3 families for months and costing taxpayers a lot of dollars should have consequences.

I can't say I disagree. Problem waiting to happen. Honestly, why is this even a question and shouldn't he simply be arrested and sent to jail/Prison? If this type of stuff is overlooked from a criminal/legal perspective, I'm sorry to say but we have bigger problems.

Semi-legal terms:
The defendant made the false statement with the intent to interfere with the criminal justice system. Thus, knowingly obstructing justice.

Someone obstructs justice when that person has a specific intent to obstruct or interfere with a judicial proceeding. For a person to be convicted of obstructing justice, that person must not only have the specific intent to obstruct the proceeding, but that person must know (1) that a proceeding was actually pending at the time; and (2) there must be a connection between the endeavor to obstruct justice and the proceeding, and the person must have knowledge of this connection.

This is why LSU and Koy Moore should act immediately. There should be a small suspension, internal discipline, and a formal apology by Moore.

If not, you'll have opinions like this which are actually hard to argue with. It probably won't go away. And, LSU has a real problem right now with an image of protecting members of the football program no matter how bad the act (rape, harassment, etc.)

The longer this goes, the worse it is going to get.

He should, but unfortunately people will still believe him and call him a victim, thus making it impossible to do the right thing here. I just looked at his Instagram and he had a big write up on the incident with a picture of the officers. Now that we know it was bullshite, the comments from his friends are extra hilarious and at the same time extremely depressing. He owes everyone an apology, but he won’t.

I think there should be some type of punishment but it should come from the city government but they won’t do anything because cops are bad and even if in this case it wasn’t true they probably did it somewhere else and so it was deserved or some BS like that.

As much as we need to discourage bad cops and bad people in general from doing bad things we need to discourage people from making false claims of others.

It’s instances like these where city politicians turn their backs on their own officers in time of need and then wonder why there aren’t enough to protect and serve when the time comes. Politics is so smug it’s unbelievable

Maybe he thought that the officer unzipping his pants wasnt right. Maybe ,he didnt make it up but misunderstood what was appropriate.

Idk,I could be wrong . I'm just trying to give another possibility. Didnt the report say that he was searched in that way?

Bad politicians are doing more harm to society for generations to come than bad cops but no one wants to have that conversation.

I think that the cops were checking on a disturbance. He didn't obstruct the investigation. Was there a violation of the law? ie disturbing the peace? If they didn't take action was it because of him? Did he make a formal complaint or was this a twitter complaint that escalated? I think he should be disciplined by the school. The officers may have a civil law suit. Don't think he can be charged criminally though.

What he did was shitty snd pathetic. It’s awful and he should be punished but just slow down on throwing the kid away

He should have to apologize face to face with each officer and then issue a public apology.

After that he should serve a suspension but he shouldn’t be completely kicked off the team.

None of you, or I, know what truly happened but the situations are rarely black and white. Usually the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

EBRP has a reputation of being assholes to college kids regardless of their race. Most likely they went over the top and then Kou embellished.

What can’t we wait for facts before wanting to cancel everyone?
