It amazes me when people say things like this not knowing what they are really talking about! Chaisson started playing football in the 11th grade was a five star! Came to LSU and showed some really good flashes his freshman season which made his sophomore season highly anticipated! In the first game of his sophomore season he tore an ACL and is out for the year. His red shirt Sophomore season the kid returns from a torn ligament in his knee and plays well enough to be a first round draft choice!! But you guys say he did not play all that good at LSU !! Lol

He looks good in a football uniform and flashes great athletic ability but never showed the production you see from the great ones.

remember Chaisson running down OSU ballcarrier CeeDee Lamb from behind.
How could he be an NFL Bust with that speed?!?!
It’s sad that this type of humor goes over the boomers heads.
He’s making fun of the people who say the same exact thing about the Oregon game literally any time it’s mentioned

Do you?

Chaisson is playing in maybe his 5th or 6th year of organized football. Before he was a track guy who jumped in at a camp that one of his friends was attending. His natural abilities wowed all the coaches there.
He is not big enough to play D line in the pros good height, but under weight.

If you had only added Danielle Hunter to your list, it could've been a fail of epic proportions.

quote:That's a fair point, he has the LSU single season sack record. But I never thought of him as a guy offenses schemed around. He had a good season by LSU standards, but he's way down the list relative to NCAA single season sack records, and he never put it all together. He had one really good year and then disappeared.
You don’t think Arden Key was dominant as a sophomore?
It was on the best pass rushing season in LSU history lol

He played average for LSU except for the last 4-6 games. Whether he started playing in the 11th grade is kind of meaningless.

Yet, I never said what you claim I said. LOL He was okay except down the stretch run.
Most of what I saw at LSU is him taking huge routes to the QB or easily being pushed off. Doesn't have natural strength, so basically get pushed around while rushing.
He will be average at best in the NFL, anyone surprised by that... didn't really watch him at LSU.

The guy had 92 tackles with 19 tackles for loss of yards and 9.5 sacks in basically one and half years at LSU

He actually played 24 games, nothing really stands out.
I would suggest you watch the games, he was okayish and came on in the last 4-6 games. Ceiling is average in the NFL, you can watch his LSU games... nothing great about other than buzz.
I say the ceiling is average, he might very well bust completely at the NFL level.

You are a complete fricking tool and I’d be surprised if you ever watched a football game. Your analysis is complete dogshit and never comes close the mark. Go away and die shithead

"Analysis", there is no real analysis here, its reality. Which is why he isn't doing jackshit in the NFL.
Him not being able to get to the QB in the NFL shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that watched the games. Its not that he was bad at LSU, its just that he was mostly average if one actually watched him play. He runs himself out of most of the plays, and he is so weak in the lower body that he gets pushed easily off his line to the QB. He does hustle which is where he gets his stats, hustling.
Not everyone is built to play in the NFL, we all have limitations. For the record, he could produce in the NFL, but he isn't going to be a top LB. 1st round was way way too high.
He's not horrible, just not great and probably lacks natural strength to be great... some guys have it, some don't.
The day he stops hustling is the day his NFL job goes away. And it looks like he packed on more weight(?) in the nfl and he looks slow footed at times especially in trying to get RBs in the flat.
He played really well down the stretch, and great against Oklahoma, I would say most of his playing time was average though.

Chaisson has the talent but is still raw at the outside linebacker spot. He can get to the runner or qb but his problem right now is wrapping up at the point of contact. I watch jags that is just my two cents.

Like Arden Key and Barkevious Mingo before him, he had a ton of hype but never was dominant at LSU so it's not surprising he hasn't dominated in the NFL.
Arden Key was dominant at LSU in 2016, Mingo was dominant in 2011
