Ensminger was running a pro style offense with 2 wr sets last year man, you’re kidding yourself if you think this is his offense

Of course Steve gets credit but the offense we see right now doesn’t exist without Brady. There is no shame in admitting that Steve couldn’t install this offense.

And Brady is here because Steve wanted him here and wanted to do this.

Some of you would chop your dick off before you gave Ensminger the slightest bit of credit.

Ensminger is a solid play caller. He loves LSU and obviously doesn’t have an ego. I’m not sure it’s necessary to elaborate any more on his strengths or his obvious weaknesses. I love what I’m seeing out of the offense right now and I think everyone does, or at least should

It's common knowledge at this point that this is Brady's system. I don't see anyone disputing that.

The disconnect with a lot of the fans is really stupid and meaningless. If you are of the opinion SE could do this offense all by himself, OK. That's your opinion. The bottom line is, it doesn't matter if he could do this all by himself if SE retires after this year. He will ride off in the sunset and we need to honor him for the work he has done. Everyone should regardless of opinion.

There's also a disconnect about whether Brady is for real or not. Some (including Kirk H) think he is. Others are not ready to determine that. That's perfectly fine. Brady will have an opportunity to show his offense against better teams as the season goes on.

You also have people giving all credit to Burrow. Guess what? That's fine too. Brady will probably be our OC next year and he'll get an opportunity to do this with Brennan (assuming he's our starting QB next year).

So everybody needs relax and be happy with what we have seen so far with the offense. Because we can all agree that what we've seen so far has been beyond any of us ever imagined it would be.

Well said. I would just add. If anyone thinks Coach Orgeron is going to let this offense slip out of LSU's grasp, after chasing his dream for so long. They're crazy. This style offense is LSU and Orgeron's key to dominating the SEC.

It will be a cold day in Hell before the Mannings let one of their own play at LSU.

No Brady is here because O wanted him here to install a spread offense.

So the experienced OC gets advice from the young assistant? I don’t care how it’s spun this is Brady’s offense.

I’m an experienced 57 year old executive, and I often give way to young proteges in their early 30s and late 20’s. Being 57 doesn’t make me right about everything. It has made me fairly good at harnessing the energy and ability of others. I’m watching this offense and the admiration I have is mainly directed at Ensminger. And if I had to bet everything I had on one offensive coach to build a staff around it would be Ensminger, not Brady. Now, I sure would hope Slinger would take Brady’s binder when he comes over.

If Brady didn’t exist they would find another knowledgeable assistant. Brady is not the only guy in the world who has a binder from someone like Sean Peyton.

Apparently HE is an LSU fan, so they say. That’s about all there is to it. Some people think we have a shot at landing him but I’ll believe it when I see it.

SE,s offense was stuck in the 60,s - 70,s - they had to bring in Brady to help him adjust and bring him into the modern game. I don’t care how you want to spin that but This is Ensminger,s last go-round, His offense is built around a strong run game! I believe he understands that and is ready to go ! Cudos for him agreeing to Brady coming in and making needed adjustments. Coach O would have had to make a more radical changes otherwise. Hopefully they have things worked out so Brady can pick up a few things from SE and take over next year !!

Hence, why they went out and got him. Credit goes to Steve and O for doing what needs to be done, unlike the previous regime.

I mean that's clear if he continues at this trajectory.

Most of the issue with Arandas defense is talent level and depth on the defensive line. When Orgeron took over our defensive line was way down compared to the top tier of the SEC.

We, including me, still tend to overrate our talent and over look our lack of rotation depth. It is much better. But is it at Bama level yet. Probably not. The incoming recruiting class on the D line solves both problems. But not for this year. It will take one year or more for those guys to be top tier.

Anyway we collectively got carried away with Arandas genius. We way over paid to keep him. Glad we have him. He has been good not great.

Would like to see how the genius DC adapts to this 2019 season. If teams have to throw a lot to keep up with LSU’s offense, that supposedly makes them predictable and allows more blitzes. Alabama’s DC will have to adapt to attack LSU. Interesting matchup.
