Kirby had Georgia in the NCG his 2nd year

and was 0-2 vs Coach O, with a combined score of 73-26.

Both losses kept UGA out of the CFB playoff

Kirby inherited a program at Georgia similar to what Ed Orgeron inherited after Les Miles at LSU.

Brian Kelly inherited a situation unlike any I can recall with a major power 5 school in the last 20 years.

CBK started at LSU with nothing

While true in some capacity, it's hilarious that we prop up this narrative so much considering he took over a power 5 program in football's best conference that had just won the national championship in dominant fashion 3 years prior.

To act like he took on some plucky down-on-their-luck aw shucks program is disingenuous.

The thing to monitor is has House lost the defensive players. If he has, you let him go now.

Cannot compare the two. Richter was a very good coach who left the program in good shape. Orgeron was a complete arse.

Georgia has only played 2 true road games against top 10 teams in his 8 years. They’re 0-2 in those games and both were beatdowns. 2017 @ Auburn & 2020 @ Bama. They have it on easy street over there.

He also inherited a roster from Richt that was in infinitely better shape that what Kelly took over.

Richt left a championship caliber team that he just couldn’t take over the hump.

Kelly took over a dumpster fire.

Then the OP needs to not compare them. You can’t try to compare two coaches then when someone points out the differences say “well they were in two totally different situations”

If they are in two totally different situations then quit trying to compare the two.
