Maybe Mett will get his revenge with a starting QB job in a couple of years. We'll see.

Dude I love Mett as a tiger but everything they said was true.

If you think this is the case then you are naive. These guys are well informed what will be a positive screen and he still slammed water? They also know that a diluted sample is better than a positive sample.

You are butthurt about people telling the truth. They also said he had a powerful arm. So it wasn't all negative.

True as well. But why would they focus on the positive when he plummeted in the draft? They owe nothing to LSU or Mett

You could also say that McCarron and Murray plummeted. They didn't get the same treatment. I fully understand the negative talking points that were available, though.

The back issues do not matter

Really???

Re: Character issues and Leadership, he was a dumba** kid (what teen age boy isn't) when he was 18; but he isn't a dumbass kid now; and if he wasn't a good leader, he wouldn't have (a) been elected Captain of the team for the last 2 years; and (b) kept getting up off of Bama's turf when the O-line got busy picking their collective noses last year. He's got more character than most of the players we've put into the NFL in a long time, in my view.

Unless you have intimate knowledge of Mett's relationship with his teammates you are talking out of your arse.

I'm talking about what I see during games, nimrod. Very little interaction, compared to other high level QBs.

Yeah, by clowns like you.

There was no good reason for ESPN guys to bring up shite four years old about Hill or Zach. Zach has done everything asked of him by LSU and has never been in trouble. To act as if Zach has character issues is BS.

Zach had a bad injury and hasn't played since. That's his draft problem and not some fricking lab test that didn't reveal anything.

This is a job interview and hiring process. Of course your background check should come into play.

Did they watch the Outback Bowl this year? Nothing against a true freshman, but Mett helped make those other guys better, too.

I guess Jordan Jefferson would've passed for 3,000 yards last season?

Those guys always find somebody to rip on, and this year Mett was their #1 foil.

You mean other than he fell four rounds down the draft because of his off the field concerns?

ESPN gave you the reasons he fell to the 6th round, and several posters on here have confirmed them, but you just go right ahead on with your head buried in the sand.

All they talked about was negatives and Kiper basically said that Mett benefitted by having Landry, Beckham, Hill, and Cam Cameron.

What part of this isn't true?

The part that wasn't true was that he was good just because of them.

We saw what it was like to NOT have a QB for years. Mett did a great job.

Well, the common adult isn't an NFL QB with limited ability to avoid a pass rush, and is susceptible to taking huge hits from some of the biggest, strongest and fastest men on the planet. If this was the accountant draft, then I'd agree, the potential back problems wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, it it's not the accountant draft

You mean the game where the LSU OC completely changed his game plan for a freshman QB?
