No it’s baseball, too much parity. Having one game crowning and determining the Champion in Baseball is a disservice.

I suppose you could make the argument for that, but there are not near as many ups and downs on a day to day basis with Basketball teams as there are with Baseball teams.

I’m just the opposite. I think it needs to go to best of 5. The Super Regionals are best of three. The ladies are best of three, so the men’s championship needs to be greater than the women’s and the Supers.

Pretty sure if lsu would’ve dropped a game to Arkansas and dropped a game to ucla . But won the elimination game vs Arkansas pretty sure it would be a 1 game series? Could be wrong tho ??

I like the best of three with the brackets because they don’t mix the brackets like softball does. In the old days, you could have a team sweep their bracket and lose to a team that had already lost a game or have a team get the easy bracket then the team from the hard side loses because they used their pitching up. This way you feel better about a true champion. I do wish they would mix the brackets to make it more even.

How about just 1 inning then? Winner take all? Or flip of a coin could make it much quicker. It's a summer game of strategy with differing pitching depending on previous games played, and possible personnel/lineup changes to suit the situation. World series is 7 games. I like the 3 games.
Eta. Why have double elimination in the buildup to the championship? Patience makes the sport more entertaining. It's a game of leisure mixed with intelligence and athleticism, and sometimes beaning.
