The teams were very physical and talented but we were constantly having to overcome coaching to win games during his tenure. He also lost several games late that we should've won because of his style of play and terrible clock management.

Les miles was a horrific coach. With the talent he had he could have won from the golf course. How he stayed so long I
Will never know. The clock mismanagement against ole miss may be something I never forget. Dooley having an extra guy on the field saved miles his job .

He has a contract buyout of $100 million. That kind of money will easily make someone complacent if they weren’t super driven in the first place.

Meh, I get it but for me there was more cringe at the weird things he said than excitement at the let er rips and the want.

BK will never get a ring. Jayden Daniels was the closest he will ever get and he pissed that away. Nussmeier may have an other worldly season and BK will find a way to squander that.

Hate to be negative but unless it's a cupcake I don't see him winning a game 1, ever.

Huge buyouts are the norm now. Why is BK the only coach who is supposedly complacent because of one?

Also, why is he supposedly doing the bare minimum to not get fired if his money is guaranteed?

These talking points are dumb and make no sense. If BK wanted to coast to retirement, he could've just stayed at Notre Dame and won 10 games every year.

He made absolutely frick all at Notre Dame. His contract was only $3,000,000 a year at ND before he left. That’s less than what some of the G5 coaches make.

False.

No one knows what it was for sure because Notre Dame is a private school but he was making in the $7-8 mil range.

Some of the sources I’ve read from ND forums have said that he was making nowhere near that amount. It’s all speculation but I promise you that he was not making anywhere near what the average SEC coach made in that time.

You have to take anything regarding BK from Notre Dame fans with a grain of salt.

The average SEC salary around that time was probably like $5 mil, Kelly was absolutely making more than that, probably in the $7-8 mil range.

Do you really think programs like Vandy, Arkansas, South Carolina, etc pay their coach more than Notre Dame?

Notre Dame's coach will probably always be paid in the top 15.

Freeman makes nearly as much as BK now.

LINK

He made $2.6 million at Notre Dame in 2021 according to USA Today

LINK

According to the NYT, he made just north of $3 million in 2020.

Realistically speaking, he was making between $2 million and $3 million annually during his final years at ND. Doesn’t matter if neither of these articles are exactly right. That salary range is the most plausible. He made absolutely frick all at ND compared to most P5 coaches. Anyone who honestly thinks that money wasn’t partly a reason for why he left ND is delusional. And I don’t know where the frick you got the idea that he was making $7 million.

I can't believe I would take 05-13 Les over BK.

Well that’s sad to hear. I’ll try to find that.
