I agree from a pure talent standpoint that this team might not be great and they certainly don’t stack up against great teams from prior years in terms of consistency or performance.
Where I do think this team is great is in terms of tenacity. This team has a workman-like approach where they don’t seem to remember bad plays or bad series. They don’t seem to get down emotionally or press when they are multiple TDs in the hole. They just seem to focus on the current drive and more often than not, they wear teams down.
It’s gotta be so frustrating for those teams that jumped on LSU early only to have them keep chipping away.
This team may not be “great”, but this team has great grit.

I don't think any of us, even after Kelly was announced, would have taken this bet a year ago. I think we all knew we'd be here again under Kelly, but not a mere 12 months later.
If anyone still has any doubt in Kelly, then you should have your head checked. What he has been able to orchestrate this year is masterful. Maybe his best work yet, if I'm being honest.

100%. All I hope from BK is to continue to be relevant in mid-November. This is only the second time in a decade we'd had this feeling. I won't be upset if we lose in Atlanta or the cfb. I am just excited to be playing for something late in the season.

If LSU doesn’t have to play UGA twice (I know it’s only a wild dream) I could easily see LSU being very competitive in the playoffs.

it's the shite that happens when we have a competent coach who knows how to run an elite program. so refreshing. I'm enjoying the hell out of this season.
