Apparently, Lane and Pete had words and Pete told Lane to GTFO because he was not the coach anymore so this is a stab at Pete only ever being a D2 coach.

It’s obvious, once everyone clears their eyes of the tears, that Lane truly loved OM and didn’t want to leave. He can’t be at two places at once, and LSU was a better opportunity.
