KDS is in full defcon1 on X and has been since he was announced. The amount of crying by Piss nation and the media is of mammoth proportions. Biggest/longest melt since Trump won in 2016.

Even if it isn’t annual and a 1 time transfer, teams and players want transfers in for spring ball. The overlap in the end of the season with the start of the new semester is a major hurdle

I know. But like you said they’re “student athletes” at some point something has to give. Nobody says it has to be a shitshow every January for teams and players, only that they have the ability to transfer.

If anything I think having a spring window may organically give a bit more time for coaches to assess rosters, meet with players, discuss plans and depth charts and organically dampen the turnover a bit.

It doesn't help that Kiffin has done this before

Because he walked out on a CFP team. It's not hard to understand.

1) let it be known TO OLE MISS that he was going to take the opportunity at LSU
2) asked to finish his work, and make sure the OLE MISS team had the best shot of continuity and winning the championship
3) was denied that —- by OLE MISS
4) OLE MISS knew they had no shot to win the championship, unless they allowed the other coaches - who were set to go to LSU with Lane - to stay through the playoffs.

Now, they’re being selective, after a win, and only allowing a few to stay through.

Hmmmmmmmmmm? yeah, Lane is the one who’s the cuck here

Ever heard any backlash from the Tulane contingent. It’s strictly LSU related.

But then the media acts like Kiffin left the team early when really he was forced out? And now people act like he committed some sort of crime because he took a better job effective next year?

You can go a little further than that. OM forced him into a corner not just for this year but years going forward with the extension that I am sure increased his buyout penalty. He could have continued to coach as is because he was under contract for 7 more yrs but OM tried to take this opportunity to put a gun to his head for the long haul. So unless he was going to sign the ext then had no choice left until they showed him the door.

Ole Miss fans think that because they are the ritziest people in Mississippi that they are special. They aren’t.

except he was locked out, he wanted to stay through the playoff

This was never a realistic possibility and he knew that. Imagine LSU going through the next two weeks of the transfer portal with no offensive coaches on campus. It would have been a disaster.

It amazes me that people are more interested in the perception of their team by other fans instead of just wanting the best for their team.

Who. fricking. Cares about what 12 year olds on the internet think. Elite athletes that want to maximize their potential and win while doing it are going to come play for Lane.

Period.

Why did the Tulane coach get the same treatment ? He did the same as Kiffin. He was allowed to continue to coach.

Probably because he didn’t go to a team in the same division

What?

Everyone knew OM was in the playoff throughout the entire decision process. The only question unanswered was a slight possibility you snuck into the SECCG.

Kiffin knew OM was in and hosting likely a cupcake in round 1 all along.

This was a life changing decision and he did it for what he felt was best in the long term not the lure of immediate gratification.

Sorry your salty administration put their short term gratification of telling him to frick off ahead of giving your program the best chance at the potential infinite legacy of hanging a championship banner next to your 03 Division title banner in Vaught-Hemingway.

I’m even more sorry for you that they tied your program to Pete Golding in another short sighted and short term solution, LSU fans know that move too. Hopefully you enjoy same lightning in a bottle we did when our petulant AD did that stupid shite, truly.

It is possible you guys get that banner. That’s how well set up Lane left you guys, especially giving his staff the ability to go back and lend a hand during the run.

Hopefully you guys get out of the Golding mistake before everything Lane built there is burned down.

Now please go stop Irvin from celebrating again, thanks
