Regardless of their timing and gimmick, they are human and a strong defense an shut them down. There, can we just wait until August now?

Dyer got his yards because Oregon was keying on Cam in the run game. It was probably the best approach too. I was fine with Dyer getting his yards and getting a huge run on a play where the defense thought he was down.
As for the double TE sets, Paulson, Williams and Lyerla will split out as H backs. It's not that we'll have 4 wide outs the whole game but that the offense will be able to run multiple packages with the same 11 players. The offense will run at a fast pace, so the defense can't sub into different packages.
Besides, I really don't think Oregon will score a lot on LSU. If you're using a DE that is 240 with 4.5 speed and if you have a field side OLB that can cover and do well in run support, it will mitigate our advantage.
However, it is fun to think about this against teams that don't.

A penetrating DT helps GREATLY but our DE/OLB's are gonna have to be playing very smart and keep LMJ from getting to the sidelines, there will be no catching him if he does. Good run support from the corners and safetys will also be vital. Just realized only position I didn't say was MLB but its true were gonna need a very good team effort with some offensive support.....shite

1. Run the ball
2. After their first three series of offensive futility, defend the little over the middle dump screen pass.
3. Run the ball.
4. Dont throw, especially toward Cliff Harris.
5. Congrats. You won.

LSU will need to be balanced. Read the sring report [link=(here)]https://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/21556/spring-wrap-oregon[/link] for a wrap up from pac-12 blogger Ted Miller at ESPN. The feeling around the program is that there will be no dropoff at dline despite the loss of the 3 starter. In fact, our starters from last Rowe (240 pounds), Clark (275) and Bair (275) were solid but unspectacular. Of the five guys rotating in the middle, Heimuli (321), Keliikipi (290), Hart (275), Remington (290) and Ebart (285), none are listed under the 275 and all of them outside of Hart are 290+. Hart has been gaining weight since his arrival and his frame at 6"6" should be able to carry another 15 pounds. Ebart is a EE from JUCO with a long frame and should add more this offseason as well. We run a lot of 3-4 and Heimuli and Keliikipi will be the NT in that formation with others playing the end spot.

So we will outweigh your Dline by an average of 30 pounds, instead of 50

What are the weights on the oline? Btw, isn't it typical for the oline to outweight the dline? Fairley was barely 300 pounds and Heimuli is 321. We are going to running with a 321 NT, Keliikipi is listed 290 but most think just shy of 300, our field side DL is going 273 Turner. At some point there is diminishing returns on being overweight. I looked at your dline and it doesn't look any bigger. Just curious.

So how many Olines dont outweigh the Dline by close to 30 lbs?

Our best player is probably Dion Jordan #96 and he has played a lot of boundary side DE in the spring. He is listed 6'7" 231, so he was outweighed in the NCG by a 100 pounds and he lived in the backfield - backup with 4 tackes and 1 tfl. Is LSU's oline that much better than Auburn's last year. CK lavished praise on this kid, which he is prone not to do. Weight isn't everything. Though I think he will be around 250.

And they Tauren Moore ran for 160, I presume it was because you were focusing on Matt Sims?
AZ St? Focus all on Threet? Cal? Weren't focussing on Shane Vareen.
When playing big strong athletic teams (Aub, Cal, Stan) they have been able to run on you. We will do the same.
The beauty of your offense is that it exploits the non-athletic teams and the teams with no depth. It is the best offense in the nation (in my opinion) in doing just that. But when you play athletic defenses... it can get shut down.

I have never said that Oregon will score a lot on LSU but that it will be a slugfest. Btw, look at all the split stats on rush defense. Vareen, Poole, Taylor (stanford) and ASU got their yards on long runs. It looked a lot like 1, 2, -3, 47 yards. In all 4 of those games, they came in the first half and the rushing was completely stifled in the 2nd (due to our rotation of 25 guys). Oregon will force LSU into obvious passing situations and look for the opportunistic defense to get into JJ's head. I have predicted a low scoring game in all my posts.
The dline last year got beat in the first half due to size and then conditioning caught and they flourished in the second half. This year the dline will not give up physicality.

I'm just messing with you guys.
Seriously though, the defensive units from LSU and Bama aren't comparable to anything you'll see in CFB period, other than each other. Can't wait to see strength vs strength.
Fwiw I'll still be hoping you guys win the PAC12
