You think advising him NOT to run a slower time now, when he'll have an opportunity to run a better time later is costing him millions of dollars??? Wow !!!

How the hell did he from 270 to 238 without running? He just went to the combine and declined to run when he has months to prepare. Say whatever the fuch you want but deciding not compete will hurt him. Not know good technique shows he didn’t prepare properly which will also hurt him.

I think people are confusing Key with Sam Hubbard

quote:

Ohio State’s Sam Hubbard tells me “you only get one shot at this” & prefers to run 40 at pro day. Also said: “I’ll do any FB drill any day but I’ve only been training for track for a month & a half.” Appreciate honesty. Will do everything else, incl LB drills today

You’re right Ree. We’re hating, we don’t know shite.

Just happens that he went from a projected top 5 pick to a 2nd rounder.

Surely you understand that the people required to have an explanation were given one

Might have a slight injury
Well, you better have some good explanations in the interviews going this route.

Including, but not limited to, if you had injury why wasn't it disclosed prior.

One thing all football coaches hate, from pee wee to NFL, offense and defense, is fakers and injury malingers. Sometimes to the extreme where they make injuries worse by pressuring the player, but nonetheless they absolutely hate it.

Why not?

The goal of almost every LSU recruit is to get to the NFL.

You think you have a point

You don't

Moffit's job is to make them competitive on the field in college. Not to prepare them for the 40. And if you think Key not wanting to run the 40 is Moffit's fault you're hopelessly stupid.

You know the interview questions, but it is not the job of the professor to help you prepare for that job application process.

Of course it's not the job of the professor to prepare you for those questions

Are you honestly this fricking ignorant?

A lot of time, changes to diet. And this might be a shocker but there are other ways to burn calories other than running 40 yard dashes

Good Christ between you and Rouge hopefully one of the 2 of you can figure out how to get your shoes on

And a better analogy in Key's case is you didn't bother going to class for a whole semester

i just dont get the shitting on Key. he had 2 fantastic seasons with lsu. he then had a personal issue where, yes he came back out of shape, but he busted his arse during the season to get back in shape and by the end of the season was one of our best passing game disruptors again.

Lorenzo Carter, who is very similar to Arden, just ran 4.45 at 250lbs. If he didn’t think he get close to that, I don’t see the problem.
3 cone is more important anyway.

I'm not shitting on Key. I'm laughing at the ridiculous assertion that Moffit is somehow responsible for his combine performance when we know he took all of that time off.

He will still be a top 3 round draft pick at worst based on production and potential.

He's just NOW, realizing he has "poor technique" ? How about acting like a team player ? No LSU coaches around to advise regarding running technique ? Prima-donna and future locker room problem for someone...

Well I figured he wouldn't do the 40, he probably slow as molasses. No big deal, he just wanted to get drafted
