Maybe we should employ the opener strategy. Let someone else start and bring in floyd in the 3rd to go the distance.

I think the issue though is that it apparently takes him 50+ pitches before he settles in.

It's weird how he gets better when he faces the lineup the second time through.

further than Kentucky’s ace.

That “ace” has only pitched like 20 innings on the year. He always has short outings.

This Williams guy is more their “ace” by eating up the middle innings of Fridays.

I wonder if it’s about the batters or him getting used to the umps zone

He essentially does this every time. But people still freak out every time

He was a much better pitcher but Alex Lange took 30-40 pitches to settle in too then cruised after that

Apparently strikes can be up the batter’s chin

Because sometimes we can’t afford a slow start lol. We’re lucky our offense is so good

Is it only SEC umps that are absolutely all this wild this year? Feels like we've had maybe 2 that had any semblance of a consistent strike zone this year.

Lucky? Maybe it’s because we’re good at offense and have a good offensive coach. Not lucky.

That shite just sounded like it hurt! That was solid contact right there. Shake it off, Captain.
